Quick to get out to our home for a broken dishwasher. Very knowledgeable and was prepared to fix the problem that day. Highly recommend!

If you want a "mission trip" that is about travel, relationships, small service projects and fun…read moreactivities EM is right for you. If you are looking to live out the great commission, find a different organization. In hindsight I strongly disagree with the mission model of sending young 18-29 year old adults into a different culture with little training and no mentorship from an experienced missionary in that culture. If you are going to send young, inexperienced people into the mission field, there should be an emphasis on a Paul and Timothy discipling relationship. Not just a group of young adults trying to figure out what they are supposed to do in another culture. Perhaps my biggest qualm with EM is that they did not encourage us to share the gospel, or teach us how to do it effectively in this foreign culture. Rather we were just supposed to "live as Jesus lived" and expect that to be mission work. While the trip was not all bad and I made good friends through the process, I don't believe EM has a biblical missions model. And I believe the cost of their trips would be better spent on many different Christ-centered causes

I got to travel with the program twice and loved every minute of it. I was on the 3 Month South Africa trip from January 2021-March 2021 then was home for about a month and left for 3 months to Belize from May 2021-July 2021 but had some family issues and matters that resulted in my leaving Belize a bit early, unfortunately. In my leaving EM still helped me understand the process and checked in on me throughout my journey home and once being home. I think I would have stayed in South Africa for the rest of my life if given the option and honestly a lot of it had to do with our hosts in country. I built real, lifelong relationships with our in country hosts as well as my host family. I am so fortunate to still be in contact with them, I truly feel like they took me in as their own. Our team was also so fun. We did life together through the ups and downs, the hard homesick times or the struggles relationally and through the fun laughs and random moments/ memories. The Lord is truly moving through the EM staff and every team member. Boldly following the Lord is always the best option!

After being away for 5 days and having turned my A/C unit off I returned and it wouldn't turn on…read more So on Sunday June 11th, I called COE to come take a look at my A/C unit. At that point the technician came later that day and looked at my unit. He informed me that my blower motor and blower module weren't working. He tells me the parts are expensive. In the $800 to $1000 range. I agree to have the parts replaced. On Thursday the same technician returns with the parts to install. After installing the parts, he informs me that my Control board isn't working and that is going to be another $500. And that I may want to consider getting a new unit. I told the tech that I am not going to do anything at this time. At that point he tells me that I have to pay my bill which is up to more than $1400 for parts and Labor. After speaking with another company, they informed me that COE should never have replaced the blower motor and module without testing the control board. So I called COE and they said they are sorry and all electronic parts are not returnable but they would give me a deal on a new furnace. I explained that it was there technician that cost me to purchase a parts that weren't necessary and that I should not have to pay for the parts and COE should keep them. With no results, I still had Roger Coe come and give me an estimate. The estimate he gave me was $2900 on a new furnace. But he would give me a $400 discount so the bill would be $2500. I had another company come in and give me a quote, and they informed me that the price for the unit COE gave me was the market price and that he had a unit that they can install as well as a thermostat that would also qualify me for rebates to Nipsco and AEP. The quote was $2455, and $495 in rebates that they would fill out the paper work. Needless to say I am going with the 2nd company and I would highly advise anyone that uses COE heating and Air to definitely consider a second opinion before having them do any work that is more than $100
