I am very fortunate to have come across Mark with A-1 Landscaping inc. for the removal and installation of a new retaining wall. Mark carefully walked me through all of my options regarding the construction of a new retaining wall. He was thorough and communicated every detail this project would include. My previous retaining wall was constructed of large glacial boulders that were beginning to show significant signs of soil erosion along with instability. Mark exceeded my expectations. The materials used to construct my new retaining wall are those of quality. Mark put great effort and time in making sure each brick was level and hand set properly. An adequate drainage was also installed to divert water away from my home, which was an issue with my previous boulder wall. Following completion, Mark added soil and reseeded the areas that were disturbed during the construction. He also leveled out my gravel driveway and laid down new gravel. I couldn't ask for a better outcome, my retaining wall finally complements my home and is beautifully constructed. I highly recommend A-1 Landscaping, inc. Mark will not disappoint. Fantastic Local Company for snow removal. - always plowed right after the snow. We own condo unit rentals and it is so nice to have a company that will get it done fast and correct the first time so we dont get complaints from any tenants. They stake out the property before the snow flies so they dont tear up the grass and pay special attention the mailbox area so mail is always delivered. We have tried multiple companies in and around Madison and A-1 is by far the best. If you need them to come out and do the bottoms of the drive after the city plows come through - shoot them a text and it is all done by morning. We also had them do some landscaping and irrigation at our home. They have always been on time, professional and deliver exactly what they had promised. Just awesome! read more

We searched high and low and ended with A-1 Landscaping. Mark was very easy to work with and explained every detail to us and provided us with an exact estimate within our budget. A-1 Landscaping has been doing our snow plowing for our residential rentals since 2010. Mark & his employees do an excellent job. He gets our tenants plowed out so that they can get to work. If needed, he returns later in the day to finish cleaning up after big storms. Snow removal is the primary purpose of A-1 in the winter season. read more
