99 ranch market has a large variety of Chinese home, cooking style food. From southern style Chinese food to hearty northern style Chinese food. Everything was made fresh daily and taste delicious. The seafood department have live seafood and they also offer a free cleaning and frying service The shop is always clean and well stocked . I did notice about the price increase recently, which might due to the recent tariff war between China and US . The one deduction is due to the inconsistent quality of cashier service. Many times prior, I have received rude services from none Chinese workers at cashier stations . Complains were made to the managers at the customer service area by multiple customers. Finally, this time I did not see those rude employees this time . Glad the grocery store has finally did some clean up on those low quality service employees.

Such a fun grocery store. We were really excited to see so many cool viral finds like the peach, mango and lemon ice creams. We really enjoyed the young coconut juice! There were many hot food eateries. The bakery was awesome and the kumquat tea was to die for.

I have recently been seeing different chips and snacks all over the internet and I. Decided that I wanted to see what I can find in the korean market. I was very surprised because it was a very large store. It was a full grocery store it had things for the kitchen like pots, pans, rice cooker different candy, noodles & drinks. I really enjoyed looking at different things in the store. It was very clean and well stock. I highly recommend

I visited during late lunch hours with a friend. I didn't know 99Ranch has such a wonderful selection of hot meal bars and meals ready-to-go. I normally visit the location in Fairfax and I was reluctant due to my experience from last year. I am so glad I went today. I was floored by how much heaping scoops of bento box items I received for just $11. It gave me a choice of 4 items to pack!!! The box barely closed because it was brimming with food!!!!. I chose spicy eggplant, tofu with cabbage, fried fish cutlet, and braised pork belly. It was all delicious. Omg. No complaints. I also got to taste wonton soup, cold bean jelly, Beef chow fun, fried sesame ball, curry chow fun stuffed puffy thing, Shanghai steamed and fried pork bun, as well as a gigantic fluffy scallion pancake. Can you tell I went out with a wonderful Taiwanese friend because of this mass amount of food ordered?!?! LOL gotta love the feast style lunch get together! I am looking forward to returning again in the future with my husband!!

Pros: Chain Asian grocery store - they have these in CA so product is pretty consistent Lots of fresh produce options Good location with easy parking Love the in-store food stands Cons: Narrow aisles Hard to find someone to help Pro tip: Pick up some goodies from the food stands for your next meal. So many wonderful options!

I come here for all my Asian grocer needs. The snack selection is wholesome. The seafood come with complimentary fry and steam. The vegetable and meat selection for hotpot and Korean bbq is awesome! Things have changed since covid. When ever I go it's late so the hot food areas seem to close early. One of the best Asian grocers in the area!

Came here to pick up a roast duck for lunar new year. Walked around the store and noted their prices seem pretty comparable if not identical to the Hmart down the block. What differentiates them is that they have a ton of little food stations here! There's the bakery featuring extra large egg tarts which I didn't know existed until now. They have a congee station and bbq station with roast pork (cha siu), 3 types of ducks and crispy pork belly. There was also a pay per pound buffet bar. Seafood area was very clean and well maintained. Have not personally bought fresh seafood here but was told by relatives that they also offer to clean and fry/steam your fish which is nice. Overall, I would revisit. The whole roast duck was delicious and a good value!

Thanks BroS :) Random bakery buys: Kiddos will love 'em - FYI pay at the bakery register

4 stars for their dang bakery - y'all get me every time..... I can't quit you :p It's soooo hard to just walk away after purchasing my usual unnecessary pocky grabs, misc flavored taiwanese wafers, and the totally important hello kitty squishy marshmallows. I have no fave bakery goods since I just grab what I'm craving on the spot but I do look for their sliced loaves of coconut any-crack. Heck they all pair well with mah plain hot organic hojicha, ppl. Hopefully the pics are helpful. 99.9999% of the time I post foodporn. Photos are more informative than reviews imo. But I'll still post reviews if it helps somehow. Honestly when I'm searching for food ideas I look for visuals first. Always. Anywho I'll be back.

After a couple of friends recommended that I check this place out, I had to oblige. Its where Sports Authority use to be. Plenty of parking! As you enter, there's a TenRen place. I definitely needed bubble tea. I ordered one thai milk tea. It was good. If you give them your phone number, you can earn rewards. Yay! They also had shaved ice cream which look amazing. Thats on my to do list for a later visit. Produce seems decent. But there isnt too much of a variety as compared to other Asian grocery stores. I couldn't find strawberries or blueberries:( Seafood dept is where is at. No smelly stench here. Everything looks fresh. Theyll stream n cook your seafood for you. Yay for crabs!! They have live crawfish here. I havent worked up the courage to try them. They have a few restaurants inside that I cant wait to try such as their duck wonton soup or their pork baos. They have a variety of ethics products. However name brand sauces might be cheaper at Wegmans or Giant. Employees here are nice and barely any waiting in line. My next trip Ill stop at the bakery.

Aisles of items had moved, certain products were no longer available, but other things were on sale. Got some Korean and Indian snacks, produce, pre-made Korean food and other necessary items. I had a genuinely upsetting experience at the Lotte Plaza in Gaithersburg today, and it was…read moreentirely due to how the situation was handled by the staff. We picked up several kimbap at full price and continued shopping inside the store. A few minutes later, when we returned to the same section to get more, all of the kimbap had suddenly been marked 50% off. We never left the store, and the items we were holding were exactly the same as the ones now labeled on sale. Because of that, we went to customer service to ask if the sale price could be applied. While we were speaking with the customer service associate, another woman sitting nearby abruptly inserted herself into the conversation and said she was the kitchen manager and that she had personally decided to mark the items down. Then, within earshot of us, she said, "So people carry items around and then ask for a discount once they see the sale price." The implication was extremely unpleasant, and it made us feel as if we were being treated as unreasonable or dishonest customers. What made this even more frustrating was that both employees were already aware of why we came to customer service, yet chose to respond with a dismissive and condescending attitude instead of explaining the policy clearly and respectfully. We were told that because we picked up the items before the sale stickers were placed, we would have to pay full price. In the end, we chose not to purchase the kimbap at all, at either price. Realistically, the full priced kimbap we put back would have had to be marked down anyway, since identical items sitting next to sale priced ones are unlikely to sell at full price. This made the rigid stance feel unnecessary on top of being poorly handled. Policies are one thing. Publicly speaking about customers in a mocking or judgmental way is another. We left feeling genuinely disrespected, and it completely overshadowed what should have been a simple shopping experience. Customer service should involve basic courtesy and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was lacking here.

Some were good, others were just okay. Here is what I got: CHINESE BROCCOLI - some were long, and others seemed like they were already cut short. I don't know if that is how it is normally sold. Goya PLANTAIN CHIPS - the chips were light overall, but slightly salty. I still enjoyed it. 80% COCONUT WATER WITH PULP - I enjoyed this, but I am not sure I would get it again. I couldn't find a brand on the can and some of the wording said to chill before drinking, but yet it was stocked on a shelf. I may just stick to a brand I know, next time. I also got another juice - Mogu Mogu LYCHEE JUICE with bits of the fruit in the drink, but found that the lychee bits were going down my throat quicker than I had a chance to eat them (not sure I'll get that again even though I enjoyed the drink). BUTTER CREAM BREAD - even though I liked this, it was not as soft. I got one or two other items, but I'll probably get them elsewhere next time due to the high price. Overall, I saw so many flavors and varieties of things. The place stayed busy. I would probably go back again, but with the same friend, and maybe pay more attention to details. Seafood section smelled fishy (compared to 99 Ranch and Whole Foods). The upside is they stock fresh kumquat, that's a rare find. I made a call in pick up order and got the chicken parm sub $11.75 and gemellis pepperoni special $24. Also, the service for ordering and picking up was quick and easy. - The chicken parm sub was solid, but the main problem was the lack of tomato sauce. - The pepperoni special was a miss for me, and that's unfortunate cause I remember it being way better last time. It's cheesy, but the lack of tomato sauce and the dough/bread being underwhelming/ weak really ruins the taste experience. Overall, it seems that Gemelli has definitely fallen off in terms of the quality & taste that I've enjoyed previously. Don't know if I'd be back, but I do know that their chicken parm and polpette subs are still worthy choices in my eyes.
