Slogan:
The Fox Rocks
3:05pm - Songs right away.
Sloan - If it Feels Good Do It
Pretty good song, not bad for the CanCon content.
Beck-Loser
Weird how I first heard this song on the Fox when it first came out. Does that mean the Fox is slowly morphing into a classic rock station?
Wintersleep - In Came the Flood
More CanCon, but I've never heard this song before. Fairly solid radio choice I think.
DJ comes back for some banter, topic then swings to Neil Armstrong who had just passed away. He ask the question "What is man's greatest accomplishment?" He calls for people to call in and weigh in on the question. It's actually quite an intelligent bit of discourse that you wouldn't normall expect from a rock radio station. They actually start a moment of silence. Which then is violently interupted by a loud advertisement.
After what seems like forever the music comes back after the advertisements.
Monster Truck - Righteous Smoke
More CanCon from a band that sounds exactly what you would think with a name like Monster Truck. You like Monster Trucks? You might like this.
Rage Against the Machine - Renegades of Funk
Great band but it's kind of annoying that their covers are still getting attention. The Renegades album come out during their swan song, and the orginal Afrika Bambaata track is still pretty cool. I wish Rage's original songs got more play, as well as Afrika Bambaata's.
Jack White- Sixteen Saltines
I'm not a huge Jack White fan, but this song is not bad. My coworker seemed to like it.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Otherside
These guys used to be such a relevant band back in the day, but all of their later material is so boring, including this lame song.
The Black Keys - Little Black Submarine
These guys used to be the hottest indie act around, but have now hit the mainstream. This song typlifies this transition and is a very inoffensive song, standard radio rock fare.
Daniel Wesley - Pilgrimage
Never heard this before, but this by far the worst song of the set.
It looks like they do 6 song sets, with longer commercial breaks. Pretty standard rock radio fare, nothing really out of the ordinary. I would consider myself a fan of rock music, but this isn't the place I would come for it. read more
