The best Chinese food in Wasaga Beach. Prices are good and they will tweak the ingredients to your liking.

While the noodles were not crispy, the dish was loaded with chicken, shrimp, bok choy, mushroom & other vegetables that soaked up the delicious savoury sauce. We added a cream corn soup to round out. I've also had the Szechuan Chicken before and have to admit it's another hit fast food dish. This restaurant has a mash of different menu items including pho, sushi & Thai curry as well. The sushi rolls were passable. It doesn't have to be perfectly authentic to be a good option at the mall. While we've never tried the server experience, the metal takeout tables here work perfectly fine for a quick meal. For our latest meal, we had the Ginger Beef with rice which is another pleasant Chinese takeout dish popularized locally. It came hot out of the kitchen. The deep fry technique here preserved the tenderness of the beef much better than other places where I've tried this dish. It went well with the crispy batter drenched in sweet spicy soy sauce. Skip it or it hit? If you're looking for Asian food at the mall, an occasional visit here is not bad.

They're located in the same plaza, but in separate units. We went to the fine dining portion of the restaurant. The ambiance and interior décor were really nice, the inside was very clean, and the customer service was really good (a lot better than what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant). There was live music (an actual singer) performing when we were there for a weekend dinner. It had a fine dining feel. I liked all the little details and ornament-like items that they used for the eating utensils (e.g. golden-plated chopstick rest, fancy soup bowl akin to the bowls used by Chinese emperors, etc.). They had both English and Chinese menus for you to choose. Although the service and overall experience were above average, the food was just average. The stand-outs for me were the Crab Meat & Corn Soup and Seafood Garlic Fried Rice. The soup had actual chunks of crab and a lot of corn, which I liked. The Seafood Garlic Fried Rice was moist and contained a good amount of seafood (small scallops, pieces of shrimps, shredded imitation crab). It was delicious and flavourful. The Scallops with Ginger and Onion was also good, with large scallops, sliced white onion, and I could really taste the ginger (with actual ginger pieces in the dish). Buddha's Delight Vegetables was a disappointment because it was too saucy and salty. It didn't contain bamboo shoots like the Buddha's Delight in some other Chinese places, but they had wood ear mushrooms which I liked.

First class service. I recommend you phone first and reserve a table. Very tasty and high class.read more

I've had food here on several occasions, mainly because it's a favourite of one of my (non-Chinese) friends who lives in the area. This time around, they ordered Singapore Vermicelli Noodle, Sizzling Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, and Chicken Fried Rice, and Vegetarian Spring Rolls for takeout. Most dishes were ok, and had a decent amount of flavour - except the Chicken Fried Rice which had limited small bits of chicken and was underwhelming. Rice was slightly soft and overcooked. The dishes were missing the 'wok hei' flavour and portions sizes were small for the price. The Mongolian Beef had a lot of onions and peppers as fillers, so not much beef in the dish. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and service staff are pleasant. Value for money could be better. Overall, there are plenty of Chinese restaurants in the area, so this wouldn't be my first pick if you're looking for good, authentic Chinese food.

You're seated and the hostess is so close to you. You're not sure why till you're seated and she pulls the napkin from a wine glass and places the clothe dinner napkin on your lap, ummmm how fancy I suppose? They are all dressed up in Chinese cultural costumes, and slightly over the top. I always order alcohol and it came out odd as pictured. Asking for water also took several attempts. Though I enjoyed the crispy beef (a definite try) and friend rice, it was food catered towards non-Chinese clientele. Beef was legit crispy. Chicken lacked the punch I was looking for with a somewhat bland sweet and sour. It was alright overall. Companion wanted to try it out since it was recommended by his friends. We were able to get reservations on valentine's days. It was dinner and music. I got fortune cookies. Overall it was somewhere to try.

What stood out to me was that they had LLBO dine-in and offered takeout. Their phone number was prominent as well. Inside looked just as dated, with plenty of seats but overall dim lighting. The red seats did not even stand out. We decided to dine in. The menu indicated that a 13% tip would be added automatically for dine-ins. It certainly had a lot to offer, with menu item numbers going above 230. Here's what I tried: #01 Chicken Pakora: A great choice on our part, 10 large pieces of breaded chicken were served with a lemon wedge and chilli mayo. They were red, which I found striking. I enjoyed the taste of mildly spicy chicken. The sauce was okay, but I mostly enjoyed the chicken without it. #22 Hot and Sour Soup with Seafood: I wasn't a big fan of this famous Chinese appetizer. It had all the right ingredients, but it was a bit too sour for my taste. #75 Manchurian Beef with Gravy: I loved this dish. The spicy beef strips were tender and juicy. The sauce was hot and savoury, and it went well with steamed rice that we ordered. #169 Chicken Ho-Fun: Another great choice, this rice-noodle stir fry dish was mild and had many tender chicken strips to fill me up. There was only one person serving, but there was no one else dining, so her checking in on us every now and then was more than good enough for us in terms of service. The table and some eating utensils were sticky, showing age. Disposable chopsticks were available upon request, which was nice. The washroom was serviceable but not clean. Despite some of the flaws I found in the restaurant, their dishes tasted good. I was surprised to see how affordable the food was. Given this, I would recommend getting takeout from this restaurant for its great value. I might actually return to try some of their other dishes to go.
