Several of the holes had multiple cut outs that could have been the proper hole, and made it very confusing. One of the holes also had a water feature that didn't work because there was no water in the river. Another has a large area that appeared to have the green ripped up. The white cups that the balls are hit into are chipped. The transition from the green to the path is too level, making it too easy to have a ball go out of bounds. Price was too high for the small town it resides in. After getting home (we were visiting from another state, it appears we were charged for 6 players when we only had 5. We won 2 free games for getting the ball in the hole on the 19th, but gave them away since we won't be returning.

I played the White Clouds mountain course, 9 holes, and what a golfing experience and a challenge for sure; I love it. You may not score well but for sure you will think of every shot. I also played Trail Creek 18 holes, an amazing masterpiece among the rolling hills, the beautiful trees and the running creeks. Every golf hole is manicured to perfection and so enjoyable to walk and play. Sun Valley resort has done an amazing job to keep you playing and wanting to return again and again... After you are done, the grill is magnificent to hang with a beer, food and just enjoy-the mountains. Go play, have fun, enjoy!

The clubhouse is spectacular and the employees helpful and friendly. I really liked the course too. It was in great shape and the greens rolled very smooth and fast. The course is a Robert Trent jones design, so all of the holes were thoughtfully laid out and had just enough risk/reward to make it fun. After my round I just wanted to sit at the clubhouse and soak in the view and a thoughtful waitress brought me an ice water without me saying anything. I really like when places go above and beyond when it comes to service. I will be back for sure every time I am in Sun Valley.

Greens are in great shape! Fairways are long and green! Holes can be challenging and some are long! Signage showing direction for next hole could be more prevalent. Can be confusing which direction to go and whether to stay on cart path or drive on grass. Reasonable price (approx. $90) for 18 holes, cart and 2 golfers (military discount and senior). I paid that for one person recently at another course. Looking forward to playing course again next year during my visit.

Obviously it's necessary to aerate but the tee time was made a week in advance and was never notified we wouldn't be able to play what we payed for. The greens were also a very big disappointment. Basically putting on fairway grass. A golf course I recently played in Rawlins, Wyoming, was miles better than this. I'd definitely recommend skipping this course if you're crazy enough to think about booking a tee time. My heart goes out to the people of mountain home because they have to play that shit.
