Delicious chicken, my new obsession to try one of their variety of flavors whenever I travel to Columbia. Chicken is not greasy or fatty. Be careful with the spicy flavors, they are HOT!

I am such a Korean chicken fan. I have gone here sooooo many times it's not funny. Check out their honey garlic wings! Service is always quick and the food is consistent. There is seating inside but most people get stuff to go.

92 Chicken did not disappoint. First time trying Korean fried chicken and we cannot wait to go back. Some of our flavors we enjoyed were the spicy garlic, honey garlic, original fried chicken and the yum yum came highly recommended. My partner enjoyed the pork dumplings and I thoroughly enjoyed the pickled radish and rice as sides. You have the option to order wings, tenders or chicken legs. Large portions The chicken was cooked to perfection, hot and fresh. The service was absolutely amazing. The servers explained the menu and made suggestions on food to try. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating and parking outside.

The food is incredibly delightful. Being from Hawai'i, it is comforting to know that there is a Korean chicken shop. The service is nice and the shop itself is very cozy.

I've been looking for a good spot for Korean styled fried chicken since moving out here and came across 92Chicken on yelp and happy I did. Food was great and the customer service was amazing, helped us through their menu and recommended items. Ambiance was quiet when we were inside eating. There was no one else inside which we didn't mind at all. We will definitely be back!

Good evening, fellow Yelpers!! It's ya favorite critic again with an amazing find: 92 Chicken in Columbia, South Carolina. I was utilizing my go-to "Yelp" and this looked Ike the spot to try. These Korean ppl know something about fried chicken, lol. I was greeted like I mattered by the cashier. I didn't have an idea what I wanted, b/c the menu has too many flavor options to choose from; not saying it's a bad thing, lol. I went with the 14-piece wings with fries. I got 7 - Spicy Garlic & 7 red hot spicy!! The taste was out of this world. Chicken has a crispy crunch & the flavor takes you to paradise from there. It wasn't too many customers in the spot, and it just made my order come just that much faster. I liked the home-style feel you get from being there. Not too noisy, so I could pick which thoughts I wanted to dwell on... I would recommend this place to local or tourist, b/c its just that awesome. You can bet whenever I'm this way, I will be stopping by. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself

The ROMEO lunch group (7 of us today) went here for our first time today. We arrived shortly after they opened and were the first for the day. The girl at the counter took all of our orders quickly. Since we'd not been here before, the owner recommended the Yangnyeom Chicken (said it was the most popular), so we had three orders of that with fries. One order of red hot pepper Chicken (3 hot peppers on the heat scale), 1 Honey Garlic, 1 Garlic Spicy and I ordered the Golden Cheese chicken with the Golden cheese dipping sauce. I must say, everyone liked their food and the ratings on the food varied from 4.0 (4 votes), 4.5 (2 votes) and a 5 (1 vote). We all had sodas for a drink and the weekly combo is with any chicken selection (7 pieces), fries plus a drink for 10.99. My Golden cheese sauce was an additional $2.50 (and worth it). The Red Hot Pepper chicken was HOT, but not so terribly hot that you couldn't eat it. In fact, Hot Freddie took half home to his wife to sample. Another nice touch was having a box of gloves on each table. The majority of the wings are wet, as they have various sauces. So the gloves came in handy as far as keeping your fingers dry. I prefer a dry rubbed wing, rather than wet, and when I asked if they any dry rubbed she said the had two types. The original and the Golden Cheese wings. She said the Golden Cheese were popular so I went with them. I'd order them again. It's not as if the wing itself was flavorful, but they were very crisp with a powdered yellow cheese or some flavoring on top of them..but when dipped in the sauce...that's what made them good. So I guess if we're grading by food only, I'd have to give 92Chicken a 4. The doors were open to the outside and we did have a fly (at least one) pestering us around our food. The only other issue is one of the guys went to the mens room and said it was not "the cleanest" and you needed a 40lb weight to keep the door shut. Bottom line....food is very good if you're looking for fried chicken. I'm sure we'd return. I'd order the same thing again.

6 pack of drumsticks - $14 - 3 pieces of red hot pepper and 3 pieces of garlic chili

While in the area, I wanted to try a cuisine I've never tried before. While looking through Yelp, I found this restaurant. I had honestly never heard of Korean Fried Chicken before, but being a fan of spicy food and also of chicken, I thought I'd give it a try. This place is located in a dilapidated part of town, and doesn't look like much from the outside, but those are usually the places which have the best food. They had a few flavors to choose from, so I asked them for their two spiciest flavors. I ordered a 6 pack of chicken drumstick, to which they said I could choose two flavors. Both flavors were delicious!! Id highly recommend coming here for some take out. The chicken was nice and moist on the inside, flavorful, and perfectly crispy on the exterior.

4. Garlic Spicy Chicken Tenders

We tried out 92 chicken for the first time last night and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for fancy, this isn't it. But the quality of this chicken is top notch. My husband got the soy garlic and the honey garlic wings and let me tell you, I would put that honey garlic on anything and eat it! So delish! The chicken was hot and fresh. I got the spicy garlic on the tenders and my lips were numb by the time I finished. So spicy and hurts so good! We will definitely be back!

Menu

Service was friendly. Inside is clean. Several sauces/flavors to choose from. Tenders were big and not overly breaded. Great value for the price. I will be definitely be back.

It was ok. It's not my favorite but I may give them one more try. They were slow and didn't explain much to the customers.

I did not like it at all. It was not pleasant at all. I tried one piece & I couldn't even eat it all. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The drinks were blended very well and used fresh lime juice, which was nice. The appetizers -- the kimchi fries and the boneless wings were pretty standard. The fries were crunchy, but we felt like there was more cheese than there was kimchi and sauce, so we've had better kimchi fries elsewhere. The cheese was very gooey though. The boneless wings weren't as crunchy as they could have been, especially coming out in a stone dish, but the garlic soy sauce was still pretty good. Our mains were really good -- the japchae, which I ordered with fried tofu, had the right texture and flavor, and was delicious yet spicy. The tofu was a little bland though. My partner enjoyed the squid and pork belly dish and said that the sauce was similar to the japchae sauce. The portions were pretty normal and not too big, so we had a few leftovers but not too many. The prices were also pretty reasonable as well. Overall we were really happy with our food here and would come back if we ever visited again.

I'm shocked she thought it was okay to touch a baby--especially when we're strangers. That was completely inappropriate. The server was rude, and when my mom asked for hot water, we were told they don't have any. Do they not have a kettle or a pot to boil water? That would have been more than enough. There were no accommodations at all. The food was another huge disappointment. If you look at older pictures, you'll see the huge variety of banchan they used to serve. Now, we only got six, and the portions were tiny. Prices have gone up, but the quality has dropped. We used to be able to ask for refills on our favorites, but today when my husband asked for more pickled bean sprouts, the server refused, saying we had to finish everything else first. That's just rude and unnecessary; we're not wasteful on food. We just simply asked for a refill on a dish that we favored more than the others. The service was terrible. The server never checked on us, and we had to flag her down for a to-go box while she was chatting at another table with her back turned towards us. When it was time to pay, my husband didn't leave a tip due to the poor service, and the server had the audacity to confront him about it. She argued with him, justifying her refusal to give a simple refill by saying food costs are high and people waste banchan. That might be true for others, but we're not those customers. This assumption was insulting and uncalled for. I don't know if it's new management or what, but the service here has gone downhill fast. This was once our go-to spot, but we'll be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

I went in with my mom, wife, and baby boy, expecting a great meal like we used to have here. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of disappointing. First, after taking our order, the server noticed my son and pinched his cheeks--making him cry. Then, she offered him a lollipop... to an 11-month-old baby. Completely inappropriate. My mom simply asked for hot water, and we were told they don't have any. How does a restaurant not have a way to heat water? The real disappointment was in the food. This place used to serve 15 banchan (side dishes), but today we received only six, all in tiny portions. Prices have gone up, portions have shrunk, and the service has taken a nosedive. When I asked for more pickled bean sprouts--my favorite--the server refused, saying I had to finish all the other banchan first. What are we, adolescents? I didn't realize we needed to "clean our plates" before we could get a simple refill. That's never happened here or at any other Korean restaurant I've been to. The worst part? We always finish all the banchan dishes because that's what we look forward to the most when we come here. I lost my appetite after that. On top of that, the service was terrible. She never once came by to refill our water or ask if everything was okay. When we finished eating, we had to flag her down just to ask for a box, because she was sitting at another table with her back turned, gossiping with two other ladies. When I went to pay, I left no tip due to the poor service. The server then had the audacity to call me out, saying, "Tip is not included, you leave no tip?" I explained the bad service, specifically how she refused a simple refill, and she proceeded to argue with me--justifying it by saying food costs are high and that people waste banchan. That might be true for some, but we're not those customers. Making that assumption about us was insulting. Plus, you made my son cry. I don't know of many strangers who would touch a baby's face like that. This place used to be a go-to for us, but they've completely lost our support. I love supporting small businesses, but when you start nickel-and-diming customers over basic hospitality and provide awful service on top of it, you ruin the dining experience.
