Glad to find a bubble tea place in Europe that strives towards being authentic. They have many different kinds of toppings and flavored teas. As far as Europe standards go, quality is pretty good and the teas are well brewed. Was a bit sad because they had run out of boba already 1 hour before closing. Lovely. Pittoresque as they say in French. 8tea5 is straight to the point: you get no more or less from this place. No fancy colors expect for the beverage display, no extensive food proposals but a few cakes. You'll have to want bubble tea to go there. If you do you'll be served right. If you're hungry, this might not be the place for you. Are they the best in what they offer? Well I think so as I haven't seen many other places offer bubble tea. It's a nice beverage you know, gives you an extra time to enjoy the cold tea experience. If however you're looking to warm up; they offer classic hot beverages as well. I probably shouldn't have had too high hopes for boba in Belgium but I was really excited. I got the Taiwanese classic milk tea with tapioca (with free yelp size upgrade - 3.5 euros) which tasted very watered down and overly sweet. I come from LA / Taiwan so have had lots of authentic bubble/boba/tapioca milk tea but this left a lot to be desired. The boba also was a bit bland and usually the shops I go to steep it in warm black sugar syrup or honey. I'm sad. HOWEVER, the owner(?) was really nice and told me there was free wifi, so he's a sweetheart!! read more

What kind of sub human creature doesn't like bubble tea? You might as well say you don't like music or art - ice cream or happiness. Thankfully Antwerp has 8tea5 right down the street from the awful pallet sitting hipsters at Coffeelabs. That's right - I'm not afraid to offend people with odd facial hair or the next Skrillex wannabe haircut. I say this only because the guys (and gals) at 8tea5 were so much more inviting to a foreigner, knowing my drink and name by about the 3rd time I came in and passing me a regular's card on my first visit which though small stuck out as not being dismissive to tourists. I've been to more than a few bubble tea shops and have to say the list of flavors here is sizeable and options for bubbles ample. They have free wifi and a decent little seating area. If you're around, and like sweet things, check them out and try a honeydew with soy and tapioca. It's liquid joy in a cup. read more

This place is amazing. The boba is great, of course. But the experience in 8tea5 is the best. It's cutely decorated and has a wall full of pictures of happy customers. Love the service. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Ling, the store owner is really cool. He's always recommending things to check out and places to go in Belgium and neighboring countries. There doesn't seem to be any bubble tea choices in the city, besides this one. Unfortunately, I didn't like the Taiwanese Classic milk tea with boba I tried. It had way too much creamer, no hint of tea and was too milky for me. The boba seemed fine but I just didn't like the drink. read more

Tired of Starbucks and friend? Here is a place for change! Last Sunday was my first bubble tea experience and I have enjoy it. I took a simple vanilla one with some coffee bubble. Fun and tasty! I will be back to experiment something with the tapioca bubbles or mango one! Yummy! read more
