Being relatively new to the area, and female, car repairs are anxiety causing. I have had great service at 87 Garage. Everyone that works there is very nice, and professional. Had a major brake repair done today, and what a difference in my cars performance. I found 87 Garage accidentally when I needed the undercover screwed back on to my car, and I was at Walmart and they did not have the correct fasteners, and recommended 87 Garage. Since then they have worked on my car 3 times. This time was the largest job. If you are in need of car repairs in the local area, I would highly recommend 87 Garage. read more

I'm from out of town and my car broke down. It needed a coil pack #5 on it. This was a 45 minute job and the cost should have been around $300. Darrell charged $750.00 . He said he charged more because he slipped us in. If your from out of town don't go there . He took advantage of us because we were from out of town and it was a 2003 Lexus. I give no stars we were in town to visit family. read more

3 strikes. Your out. 1).My 2012 is brought in for engine repairs after a minor collision. Motor has less than 60K on it. It goe blows up in less than 2 weeks of showing up at your shop. 2) Twice I've stopped by to inquire about a repair, and both times your mechanics seemed disinterested and give off the sense they don't want to work on my truck or particularly care for my business. Fine. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. 3) Due to these facts, I see no choice but to leave a less stellar review and I won't be returning. Good job on your customer service skills! read more

The owner, Darrell, is a bully. He was unbelievably RUDE to me earlier today. And NOT the first time. I gave a 'pass' on it the first AND second time. The third time, I called him out for it. I'm grateful for 87 Garage for helping me today. I took my truck to another repair place and they didn't even have time to look at the engine to tell me what might have been wrong (my gtruck was dead last night and this morning but eventually starts, and I am driving to ATL today). So i drove up the street and the owner of the garage said to just pull it in and he would take a look (he was also booked up for several days). It was a small problem that he immediately identified and fixed and barely charged me. I feel comfortable driving a six hour trip with the truck now and I am happy I found this garage. Work not done as described, no written estimates beforehand, CASH only, dishonest crew, calls to owner never acknowledged or returned. Were having problems with the clutch in our car. Drive awhile and clutch would quit working. Took it to Pepboys Milton and they told us that we needed a new clutch, over $1000. Called our home garage and their cost would be $650. Our daughter recommended trying Darrells 87 Garage in Navarre. Very happy we did. They ordered a new clutch said cost would be $650. Couple days later, they call and said they didn't have to put new clutch in.They adjusted clutch, checked fluids, and cost was $85. Would we recommend 87 Garage? Absolutely. read more

Lousy. I was told the compressor was bad, and a new one would be $400 installed. I OK'ed the price, and they did the job. Only problem was they didn't fix it. I brought it back, and they told me it was a relay sticking, and they "took care of it". It worked sporadically for a few weeks, then I brought it back again. This time I was told it was an actuator behind the glovebox, and it would cost $200 to do THAT job. At no time was I offered the option of a refund of any kind for the original $400. I won't be going back to 87 Garage. read more

VERY FAIR and HONEST mechanic! He has worked on our vehicles, and performed some regular maintenance. He has always been thorough and explained what the problem was, and how much time and money it would take to fix. Even allows is to find/order our own parts for repairs (Saves big $ compared to other mechanic shops!). Never had any problems with the work he has done. He's always got a lot full of cars, so I know he is trusted by many!! read more
