Mike is the best. Kind, Understanding, listens and gets the job done. i would recommend to anyone

I hired Mike Agruss Law after I was struck by car in a crosswalk accident - one of the first things that stood out was getting a call back from my initial inquiry that same day, and Mike was at home no less. The legal team was very responsive to all my questions, answering within minutes of my sending them a question, no matter how small. In addition to helping me get this all this resolved, they went so far as to send me a little care package to help ease my recovery (backpack with a blanket, some pain relievers and other assortments!). I felt very comfortable working with them through the process and the whole team there felt very trustworthy. I'll be the first to admit that an injury lawyer is the last person I wanted to meet, but I'm glad I met this team. read more

My review from my experience with hiring Mike Agruss. I discovered inaccurate items on my credit reports and my attempts by myself to correct and clear my name fell upon deaf ears with the credit agencies Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. Nobody cared until I met Mike Agruss. Mike was not like most other attorneys and in good ways. Mike is passionate about helping others and has a great personality as well. Long story short, Mike got involved and cleared up the credit reporting mess and did an outstanding job. Attorneys and men like Mike are rare these days and I highly recommend him should you need an above average attorney to help you should you need help with a legal matter. A+ HIGHLY RECOMENDED. read more

Never answers their phone, never returns phone calls, never answers emails. Waste of time.

Hired this agency in September 2022 and by July 2023 no progress has been made. Took them 6 months to get my records but when I called my insurance they had to attempts from this agency. I got tired of contacting them for updates and When I finally removed them from my case I get a email the next day with forest gump saying if I need help to reach out! What a joke. If they contact me again I will sue them read more

Mike Agruss Law - I dropped him from my case after 9 months of negligence and unprofessionalism then I get this email the next day - Personal Injury Law Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Very good in response. I was sent an email on how to address issues I was having. My issue was resolved with no fee .

So I just got word that my settlement check will be issued. Was great working with this law firm. I had to pay nothing and pretty much just let the attorneys do all the work and sit back and receive my check. They were very professional and responded to my questions and texts within 24 hours. Most of the time within the same hour. So here's what Agruss Law Firm did for me: 1. Stopped the harassment. 2. Cleared the bad debt and removal of it on my credit report. 3. Additional settlement check with $$$ going to me All I had to do is forward the emails and phone messages from the debt collection company harassing me. They also took the time to explain the process to me and answered my many questions with patience and courtesy. She told me she wished all her clients were like me. I wished all attorneys and legal situations were like her and this law firm. lol Win-Win! If you're getting harassed by debt collectors, call Agruss Law Firm. I love you guys lol read more

Attentive when prompted. conveniently located in Chicago Metro area with vast case history.

Avoid this law firm. MICHAEL AGRUSS is being investigated by the IL State bar association so stay away from this law firm. To add context, see the attached photo with text messages where he failed to respond and causes harm to his clients. His reviews are fake and he pretends to know what he is doing but just sends his work to people in his office who are new and does not supervise anybody. Also, he will never update you about your case and will just ignore you. His motto should be "I don't care about people just want to steal from you." read more

I'm re-updating my update of June 12,2024 He is definitely a 5 star. You can't go wrong if you have Mike's help and input. Only thing I wish is that he was in Iowa but am thankful for this much. He's awesome, so caring and compassionate. LoiDana Miller read more

I had gotten a bogus charge from T-Mobile after we changed cellphone service to AT&T. A Collection agency started sending us letters and calling us. I found Mike's firm on the internet and gave them a Call. They immediately took my information and started working on my case. They sent a letter to collection company and told then to stop. Eventually they got the matter cleared up for me. About 8 months later they called to tell me they had gotten a settlement from the collection agency and collected their fee and a $500 settlement for me. They were great in taking care of this issue for me. I would recommend them. read more

You know with how many bad reviews I am writing it's going to make me seem like a male Karen but, at this point it needs to be done. So I called these people to sue the collections agency that has been harassing me for a forced hospital visit, I didn't want. They never sent me my money and then tell me they can't continue the lawsuit after a whole YEAR because I told the collectors to on a different website than what I told them when I started the lawsuit to stop harassing me. I don't recommend this place if anyone has debt collectors harassing them for unpaid bills. read more

Over last couple of months Agruss has assisted me with a situation involving a very unethical collection agency who had been harassing me for almost a year over a situation that was not mine to begin with, identity theft. Mike Agruss and his team have been successful in putting an end to what was going on and got me reasonable compensation as well. I appreciate them so much for job well done and highly recommend them! read more

Quality service, professionalism, and great follow-through!! I worked with both Jackie and Taylor starting back in September when a debt collector tried to contact me through deceptive practices, and it was regarding a relative that had passed years ago. After some research, I found Agruss, who is also BBB Accredited, and quickly decided to use them as my attorney. They were prompt, gathered all the needed information, and gave me a timeline. Happy to report this case ended in my favor. Thank you Taylor and Jackie for all of your help. read more

This law firm keeps harassing me. I receive calls from them every two days. This is not a good way to market yourself to potential clients. *HINT: you can negotiate your debt to lower amounts with debt collector companies directly for way cheaper than hiring an attorney. This is advice has been used by myself and given from an attorney. You do not need a law degree to negotiated with debt collectors. All it is a money scam. Why else would they call so many times??* UPDATE: It has been not even 24 hours since I posted this review. After writing this review, not only have I received multiple messages on Facebook, LinkedIn, and through email from this firms owner, my family members have also reviewed messages on all of same social media telling me take to take a review down and threatening to sue me. I blocked him on Facebook he then proceeded to message me on my email. I would strongly advise many to think if this is truly someone you would want to hire as an attorney. I have attached pictures here. You are welcome to take a look at the multiple pictures showing messages I have received. I would be surprised if the Illinois Bar Association would find this ethical. read more

"I was referred to the firm through a family friend and I immediately contacted them through their website. They got back to me in 24hrs. just like they said they would! The team took my information and even emailed and called me with periodic updates!Although my harassment case against a large collection agency could be considered "small" it was really important to me as a matter of principal. True to form Agruss Law gave it top priority. It was settled even more quickly than I hoped with no hassle. More importantly, Agruss Law gave me great peace of mind. Mr. Agruss is an excellent attorney! After experiencing inappropriate collection practices with a particular agency, I contacted Mr Agruss and told him my story. He is personable, a good listener, and works quickly. He was able to quickly assess my situation and provide clear expectations of the process. I had a heart attack from a pretty vicious and very old "debt". Not sure if it was even mine as the details were very unfamiliar to me, from over 10 years ago! The people that called were very aggressive, knew all my information...threatened taking my car/"assets"/work pay. I will pay my debts, so i was shocked, and was very intimidated by all the information that ARA Acquisitions had on me. I will NEVER give up payment info to some random caller, so I did some research online and came across this business. Gave them a call, and they have taken care of me! Stopped the calls, and I even got a settlement from ARA out of it! Thank you Michael Agruss and your team for all the help. read more

I have used Agruss Law Firm a few times, and have always been extremely pleased with the way they handled everything. I had a debtor harassing my husband and me, for a debt that was not even legitimate. Agruss Law Firm got the calls to stop, and very quickly. Everyone at the firm is very friendly, and they are really easy to work with. I have recommended them to several family members and friends, because I know that they will be in good hands with Mr. Agruss and his team of experienced attorneys. They handle debt collection issues, personal injury, and a lot of other issues, and I would use this firm again in a heartbeat if necessary. Obviously you hope to never need an attorney, but if you do, you are in great hands with the Agruss Law Firm. I love that they don't charge you to take your case, and in many cases, such as debt collection cases, you even get paid, while most importantly, getting the harassing calls to stop! They are a top notch law firm, and the owner of the firm, Michael Agruss, is absolutely amazing to deal with. He's very knowledgeable, and handled my case as if it were his top priority. Like I said, I've recommended them to several other people, and each person who has used this firm has been extremely pleased as well. (But I'll let them write their own Yelp reviews!) If you need an attorney who is knowledgeable, helpful, speaks in terms that you can actually understand (because some of the legalese is pretty confusing!), and doesn't make you feel like your case is just one of thousands (even if it might be), then the Agruss Law Firm is the way to go.
