Staff and Doctor were courteous and helped me right away. The doctor spent more time with me than my typical doctor. I would go back again.

I brought my son in because he was complaining that his ear hurt and his pediatrician's office was…read moreclosed for the day. They took a look at his ears and proscribed an antibiotic for me to pick up at CVS. Then I got the bill!!! $415.00 to look in his ears. I tried disputing the bill and they won't budge. Once word gets out about their billing they will be out of business soon enough.

I was seen at Saint Mary's Urgent Care Center for an upper respiratory infection back in December…read more The urgent care clinic in Cheshire was only a few months old and looked very clean and inviting from the outside. Upon enter the clinic, I was greeted by very friendly front desk staff and was thrilled to noticed that the waiting room was empty! The staff took me right back and got me started. I thought to myself 'Wow, this is great! A new, clean clinic with friendly, inviting staff, AND no wait!'. That was basically where everything positive ended. Once in the waiting room, I went through the typical vitals and then waited for the doctor. The doctor wasn't one, but rather a PA-C named Sara Marie Miceli. Very cold beside manner. I explained my symptoms, to which she seemed rather uninterested, and when I say that all she did was listen to me breathe and look down my throat, I'm not exaggerating. She then looked at me and said "I'll be right back", and never returned. The nurse who took my vitals returned to the room and began handing me paperwork and a prescription for cough medicine. I finally asked, "what's wrong with me?" since I had not been told, and wasn't sure what all the paperwork she was handing me was for. Her reply was, "Oh, you have an upper respiratory infection". This prompted me to ask questions such as, "Do I need antibiotics?", "Should I go to work?", "Am I contagious?", ya know, all things I would have asked the PA-C had she actually returned to go over my prognosis. The total duration of my visit from check-in to check-out was 20 minutes. Now, the cherry on top of this whole saga is the fact that I, a working, middle-class woman, used her insurance to pay for the visit. In visits to other urgent care clinics in the past, $75 was a typical bill. I received a bill from Saint Mary's Hospital Urgent Care Center for $397. Why, you ask? Oh, because they use the same code for Emergency Room visits as well as urgent care visits. These facilities are clearly not the same, nor do they provide the same care. I then called the clinic to find out what a visit would cost for someone without insurance. I was told $100, assuming that I wouldn't need any testing. I have tried to straiten this out with Saint Mary's billing department to no avail. I have offered to pay the $100 for the visit, as I cannot wrap my head around or justify $397 for a 20 minute urgent care visit for a URI. They will not accept this offer. IF, for some strange reason, you still should feel the need to utilize Saint Mary's Urgent Care Center, DO NOT tell them that you have insurance! Is it possible to give 0 stars? That's what I would give Saint Mary's Urgent Care Center.

I visited this location and am incredibly unimpressed! The staff was very friendly and attentive…read more The facility definitely needs some attention in terms of cleanliness. Also, parking was very limited.

For the most part the staff there are friendly. And that's where the good ends…read more The on staff nurses had a real problem drawing blood and after several times trying (and mangling my arm and hands) they finally sent me to the phlebotomist on Chase. She was able to take my blood in minutes. If you need blood work, do it at Chase location and don't even bother with the Frost Road office. I did my Annual Physical and when my Lab results came back they FORCED me to do a virtual visit to go over the results. Not a phone call, an actual Telehealth visit. This means I HAD to make a co-pay, just to get results of labs for an annual physical! Then they made me wait over 30 minutes for the virtual visit! When going over my labs, the doctor repeatedly suggested medication for slightly elevated cholesterol levels (borderline high) even when I repeatedly said I wouldn't take medication unless absolutely necessary. And to provide me with other options (watch-and-wait approach) with the chance to check back in 3-6 months. She checked if my insurance covered the medication, even when I said no. Ran numbers to check if I would be eligible (based on age etc). I again said no. I felt I truly had to advocate for myself and it became confrontational because she would not listen. It seemed like she was getting some sort of kick back or bonus for prescribing medication because that's all she seemed to want to do. I already made HUGE lifestyle changes in the past year resulting in almost EVERY other number changing for the positive significantly. From 35lb weight loss, to reversing pre-diabetes, to 108 point drop in triglycerides and a 15 point increase in HDL!!! All through diet and exercise! Still the doctor seemed hellbent on prescribing medication I didn't necessarily need even when I asked if there were more natural ways to do the same thing (There are several). She had zero interest in providing nutrition / diet that could lower the LDL levels. She did joke about cutting carbs, but she kept returning to medication. It truly became frustrating. She also wanted me to do tests that made no sense and were quite expensive given the numbers she provided when compared to a year ago. Again this felt like money grabbing and finally I said enough is enough and left the practice in search for a lifestyle doctor who won't be so quick with the prescription pad and listen to my concerns. All in all I truly felt like she was interested in money, prescribing medications, and NOT actual sustainable natural health of her patients.
