I found Lacey when I did a quick Reddit search looking for make up artists. I knew Lacey would be the one doing my makeup for my wedding even before I had a chance to take a look at my makeup when she was done. She made scheduling so easy, she was on time, professional, and made me feel so comfortable. I struggle with acne and don't have the greatest skin texture and somehow she managed to make my skin look flawless and my makeup look amazing for 10 plus hours on my wedding day. I have super oily skin and only had to touch up once. She also did my mom's makeup which came out amazing! I wish Lacey could do my make up everyday, she made me feel so beautiful! read more

I absolutely adore Lacey! I did my makeup preview more than a year in advance for my engagement shoot, and she did such a wonderful job! FF to my wedding day, and she knocked it out if the park yet again. Every single one of us (Bride, Bridesmaids, MoB) have never looked better! I highly recommend Lacey not just for her artistry, but also for her personality. She is such a delight to be around (will add prof pics once received, but am too excited to wait to review) read more

Lacey did my make up for my Wedding Day and I could not have asked for anything better!!! It was gorgeous and perfectly done!!! I'm an older bride at 55, I didn't have inspiration photos but just shared the look and colors I was looking for and she nailed it. My make up stayed perfect all night and never felt heavy or even felt like I was wearing make up! She came to my hotel room with chair and all products. The bonus is she works close with a hairdresser, Sierra at Santa Barbara Bridal, so it was easy to book them both and I even had their services overlap which was awesome! Highly recommend you will not be disappointed! read more

Lacey is such a pro and I couldn't have asked for a better makeup stylist for my wedding day! I found out about 805 Makeup through Vanessa Marin as she's posted about and recommended Lacey on socials a bunch and I was so pleased I was able to book her for my wedding. She and my hairstylist, Sierra from Santa Barbara Bridal, have worked together before and so it was so fun to have two women who were already comfortable and friendly with each other. Lacey had actually recommended Sierra to me when I asked for hairstylist recommendations, so that was perfect. Now, I really didn't know exactly what I wanted makeup-wise for my wedding because I really don't wear a ton of makeup on a regular basis. I obviously wanted to amp up the look a bit for my wedding, but I still wanted to look like myself. Lacey went above and beyond. The trial impressed me so much. She came up with a look and eye makeup colors that complemented my natural look so so well. I looked like myself, but just with better foundation/coverage and features that popped more. Lacey was able to give me some suggestions for products that I may want to purchase for reapplying throughout the wedding day and I still use and love those lipsticks. For the actual wedding day, Lacey was a calming and lovely presence to have. She and Sierra worked seamlessly together and it was so fun to just have two wonderful ladies by my side for the big day. She ensured I was comfortable after applying everything, which was a feat because I was picky with my eyes bothering me with some of the individual lashes that she applied - she stuck around making sure I was totally comfortable. My makeup stayed flawless all day and looked genuine to me - not over-the-top or anything. I looked myself (just extra beautiful ;)) all day and in all the photos. Lacey is exactly the person you want to do your makeup for your wedding or any big event. I'm so so glad I found her! Thank you, Lacey! read more

Lacey is amazing! I booked her for my wedding in September and also used her twice the week of my wedding for other events. From booking to the big day she was an awesome communicator and very organized! I absolutely loved my makeup and she put me completely at ease. All of my bridesmaids loved their looks as well! I can't wait to use her for my next event!! Thank you Lacey!! read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lacey! I live in LA but got married in Santa Barbara County, so I wanted to find someone local to the area to do my makeup but didn't know where to start. I am very much into the natural, "no makeup" makeup look and wanted someone whose aesthetic lined up with mine. I booked Lacey for a trial in November after finding her online after lots of searching. Not only did Lacey do an incredible trial look on me, but in the months between the trial and my wedding, we communicated as some of my preferences/ideas changed. She was always super responsive, had great ideas that she bounced off of me, and most importantly, totally affirmed all of my choices and decisions about my makeup. She came the day of the wedding with all of her notes, and I knew I didn't need to reiterate anything we had talked about as she was meticulously organized about all of our communication. We ended up going with a bronzed, glowy, dewy look. Lacey had amazing ideas, like, since I didn't want to use foundation, suggesting alternative products to help elevate my skin tone without drying it out. I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on my makeup. It was exactly what I would have done on myself if I knew how to execute my own vision! Last but not least, she did an equally amazing job on my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. We all LOVED our makeup and felt so gorgeous, but completely like ourselves. She nailed everyone's requests. To top it all off, Lacey is warm, calming, and just an absolute joy to hang out with the day of your wedding. That is just as important! read more

Lacey is amazing at what she does. I was so nervous about getting my makeup done for my wedding, because I have had previous negative experiences with makeup artists not being able to compliment my asian eyes/features. But let me tell you - Lacey absolutely nailed it. She came with notes from our trial, and anything I felt I wanted changed during the process, she was able to blend and diffuse beautifully. My sister never wears makeup, and Lacey gave her a beautiful and natural look that really accentuated her features. Our entire bridal party was so happy with their looks, and once Lacey left, they all complimented me for my choice in a makeup artist. Lacey was definitely one of my favorite parts of my wedding. I highly recommend!!! read more

Lacey was awesome! She was available last minute to do make-up for a recent Zoom ceremony. Arrived early, had everything we needed and was so comfortable to talk to. She was a total gem. Highly recommend. read more

Lacey came to the rescue for our wedding after our original hair and makeup person was no longer available. She came highly recommended and was absolutely amazing. We are so grateful that we had her as part of our small 'team' on our special day. In addition to her undeniable skill and expertise, Lacey was composed, kind, and professional. Unfortunately and unexpectedly we ended up working with a difficult planner/venue and Lacey provided a level of calm and poise. She was supportive and a good communicator going above and beyond her role and our expectations. We would recommend her 100% for any occasion. She is truly one of a kind. Thank you Lacey! read more

Lacey is amazing! I found Lacey on Instagram and immediately her natural and California casual aesthetic really resonated with my own style. From our first chat, we really hit it off and we scheduled a short-notice trial in Santa Barbara when I was visiting there for the last time before my wedding. I loved how she did my hair and makeup and was very excited to work with her on the day of. Lacey was very flexible throughout the process and when we had to change the date of our vows she was quick to respond that she was available. On the day-of, Lacey arrived to our AirBnB on time and she was very friendly and calm, which was exactly what I needed since I was a bit nervous. The three of us (my fiance, Lacey, and I) had such a good time -- laughing and sharing lunch, as she did my makeup. She fixed a few things at my request and I was so happy with the end result. She made my skin look flawless and I loved how she used individual eyelashes, which made my eyes really pop but not feel heavy. Thank you Lacey! You are truly an artist and such a kind person. I will always be grateful to you for doing my hair/makeup for my wedding day. read more

Lacey and Taryn are AMAZING!!! My bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law and sisters looked beautiful and their makeup was flawless. Lacey and Taryn did stunning makeup that complimented each person's individual skin types, preferences, and features. Prices were very reasonable compared to other makeup companies in Santa Barbara. Lacey and Taryn came to our bridal Airbnb and began makeup on someone right away to ensure we stuck to our photography timeline. Lacey was great at communicating with me and was extremely flexible with scheduling our bridal party. Highly recommend 805 makeup! Book now, you won't regret it!!! read more

Lacey is so amazing at what she does! She makes it look effortless and truly is so talented! Can't wait for my wedding in September!!!

805 Makeup was absolutely incredible to work with for my wedding! I knew I wanted a really natural, polished look, and I scheduled a makeup trial with Lacey. She was fabulous and I felt confident going into my wedding day that my makeup would be great. She and her team, which included Taryn Reed, did my makeup as well as my bridesmaids and two moms on my wedding day. They were professional and everyone looked flawless. My makeup remained intact and perfect even after going out on the town after my wedding and dancing for hours. Cannot recommend Lacey highly enough - she's a doll and truly great at what she does! read more

My wedding planner recommended Lacey, but I was skeptical about hiring a makeup artist for my wedding. I have never had any luck with makeup artists before - they always use way too much and make me look crazy. Lacey was a pleasant surprise! She made me look like the best version of myself! She listened to what I wanted and worked with me to make sure I felt comfortable and confident. My wedding makeup was exactly what I wanted! Plus, Lacey is a sweet and calming presence during all the wedding craziness. I can't recommend Lacey enough! read more

Worth every penny!!! 805 Makeup exceeded my expectations in every aspect! Lacey was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator, so I signed up for a trial with her and Laura to do hair and make-up a little less than 2 months out from my Santa Barbara wedding. First impression- gorgeous ladies who "wear" their own art and extremely professional. The trial was a blast- we really hit it off and I couldn't believe the results. I am a natural redhead and am very specific about how foundation looks, eyebrow color, etc., and it was gorgeous. My hair was divine, even though I didn't have the actual hair piece that I would wear the day-of, we made 'do (ha!) and the ladies took pictures and notes about everything we discussed. The trial was a little on the expensive side but worth it for my peace of mind. Between the trial and wedding day, Lacey was very quick to respond to any questions I had, even when I had some ideas about changes. She was open to whatever route I wanted to take. The day of my wedding she arrived early to get everything set up and treated me, my mom and sister like queens. I have NEVER seen my mother look better, it was incredible. My sister also has very high standards for hair and make-up, and we both have had ours done a lot and agreed that this was far and away the best we'd ever had. Even though we were crunched for time at the end (due to issues at the hotel), Lacey stayed calm and left me feeling radiant. My make-up held up beautifully the entire event (from 3p- 1:30a), despite crazy winds, a few tears and lots of dancing, I didn't even need to apply powder once. Normally I like to check my make-up a lot during events but every time I glimpsed a mirror it was still flawless! At the end of the night back in our suite I could not believe how perfect it still looked and was sad to wash it off. The photos have since come back and it photographed flawlessly- no ghost face, no weird colors, my eyebrows match my hair- WOW. I cannot recommend Lacey and 805 Makeup enough! read more

805 Makeup - Absolutely FLAWLESS - Makeup Artists Near Me

I cannot recommend Lacey and Laura more for your wedding day! I had originally found 805 makeup through instagram and from the first phone call I had with Lacey I know she would be the perfect fit for my big day. She was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, setting up my trial and getting everything set and organized for our wedding day. On my wedding day they were prompt and actually ran ahead of schedule (which never happens). All of my bridesmaids loved how their hair and makeup came out and loved hanging with Lacey and Laura. Booking them was possibly the best decision I could have made. They are the best and I highly recommend them!!! read more

I cannot recommend Lacey and Laura more! I hired them for my wedding (my wedding coordinator gave me their name) and honestly, my bridesmaids, my mother, and mother in law could not have looked more amazing. Even months later, we still get compliments. I did a trial with Lacey and Laura separately a couple months before my wedding and, to be clear, I am not great at expressing my needs/wants when it comes to hair and makeup. They both did an amazing job listening to me and really understanding what I wanted (even though I gave them very minimal directions). Also, my hair and make up (with only one lipstick touch up) lasted ALL NIGHT LONG. I let my bridesmaids and moms decide what hairstyle/makeup they wanted and everyone was happy with the outcomes! Also, their pricing was fair (I did comparison shop to confirm). And, to top it all off, they were so sweet, fun to be around, and we had a great time getting ready with them. You can't go wrong, hire them! read more

Lacey and Laura were the best team! I had my trial with them almost a year before my wedding because I was planning from the east coast. My hair and makeup look completely changed on my wedding day and they were beyond accommodating. Lacey did make-up for my bridesmaids, my mom and mother in law. Most of us were asian with varying eye and lid shapes and we all felt beautiful! Laura did everyone's hair and was quick to offer advice and listen to what we wanted. Everyone looked great! More, importantly, everyone was happy! read more

Beyond amazing!! I came across Lacey and 805 Makeup on Instagram and loved the natural, gorgeous looks of the girls on their wedding day. I was very nervous about getting my makeup done for my own wedding - I lean towards sporty and not very proficient with my own makeup (I've always been a quick concealer and mascara girl) and was incredibly nervous that I was going to look like anything but myself. I reached out to Lacey about 6 months prior to my wedding to schedule a hair and makeup trial and oh my gosh am I soooo happy that I did! After the initial trial I was certain that Lacey and Laura (for hair) would do a fantastic job glamming up me and my girls. In between the trial and the wedding Lacey was quick to reply to emails and stayed in touch to confirm details. I really appreciated that I heard from her in the planning process. The day of our wedding Lacey and Laura came to our venue early to set-up and prep us girls. I can honestly say that we had SO much fun chatting and hanging out with these two lovely ladies - they are genuine, kind, funny and amazing at what they do! I came out of Lacey's chair with a natural yet super glam look that even my hard to please mom loved. Thank you Lacey for making me feel so beautiful!! Next time I need makeup done, I will seriously consider driving up to SB just to meet up with Lacey. I cannot recommend her enough!! read more

Lacey recently did my makeup for my wedding in Santa Barbara and I could not have been happier with my choice. Initial communication and scheduling with her was quick and extremely easy. She was super flexible with the number of women who would also be getting their makeup done and was even able to bring an assistant with her on the day-of to make sure that we were all finished in time. Most importantly, she (and her assistant Tami) did an excellent job on all of us -- I felt so beautiful! They both listened to what looks we wanted and made suggestions on how to best achieve them. They were friendly and professional the whole time and even helped my mom with a little bit of make up at the end, even though she had not planned on getting her makeup done that day. I would highly recommend 805makeup and will definitely be calling Lacey again next time I need makeup done in Santa Barbara. read more

I know everyone else writing these reviews is already saying it, but Lacey truly is amazing at what she does. Never have I ever been part of a wedding party where EVERY single person loved their makeup, and she nailed it! She and I did a trial for me wedding a couple of months before, she was detailed, thorough, and made sure to take notes of everything she did/used. We discussed a few changes that I would have liked to see day of, and she completely delivered. She also is just the sweetest and kindest woman! I would highly recommend her to anyone in her area. I can't recommend Lacey enough! She is amazing, listens intently to what you want/what your concerns are, and is an overall pleasure to be around. I had three trials before I found her on Yelp, and I fell in love with her work after my trial (almost a year ago) and couldn't have been happier with how my and my girls make up looked on my wedding day (a few weeks ago).
