I am a victim of a fraud of this company, Kromeon…read more I had given Kromeon a contract to develop my website. I was talked into a multi year Service Agreement. I paid upfront almost $20,000 for a 4 year Service contract to Kromeon. Within the first month of the contract, all Kromeon staff who knew anything about my product either quit or let go. At one time, JP Palacio, who owns the company, threatened to install a hacked version back. Kromeon did zero maintenance per the contract. Sure, Kromeon sent me "monthly" service reports. But they were all fake. I protested to Kromeon Kromeon wrote blah blah. Kromeon did not provide any details I asked for. After 10 months of this deception, I canceled the Kromeon contract and demanded payment of the remaining months amounting to $12,000 plus. Kromeon refused to pay even though I documented all falsehoods in the cancellation. While Kromeon put together a good product, Kromeon is not the same. I would not recommend anybody to do business with JP Palacio. He is the rudest and arrogant person I have dealt with in my 43 years of business.

CJ at Gilbert Studios is the best guide and teacher I could have asked for! I have been in business…read morefor 15 years and like many business owners, I am great at my job but I feel like technology is my greatest nemesis. Even when I had my second website built in WordPress because people told me that WordPress is so simple and user friendly....Ha! More like Frenemies! I have had this WordPress site for several years and it was okay but not really working for me. It would give me these error messages I would just ignore them because I didn't know what to do with them. I would try to fix it or update something and make everything worse. I was first introduced to CJ about a year ago by a personal referral who retired from web design. To get a feel for him and his knowledge base I went to his YouTube channel #AskAWebGeek. I learned enough to not be so scared of tackling my nemesis. The videos are entertaining but a little long for me so I would skip through looking for the education I needed. One especially frustrating day on Wordpress I had just made a list of 6 things I couldn't figure out. I finally reached out to CJ through his website and asked if I could just pay him for his time to screen share and walk me through how to fix this stuff. I wanted to take control of it instead of hiring some random to fix it and hoping for the best. I didn't realize that this is his bread and butter. He does this all the time! I was both excited and bracing for impact. I was at the end of my rope expecting to have to spend hours of time and money to pay the expert to slowly walk me through this, but I just needed to make the investment. We booked our first hour for $120. In the back of my mind I'm calculating it will surely be at least 6 hours. We got on Zoom together and it was straight to work. He went at a terrific pace and was so easy to talk to. He is truly a great teacher breaking it down into steps and helping to explain why we want to do things a certain way and why some of the recommendations on wordpress aren't in my best interest for my business goals. Cj takes his experience and extensive knowledge and applies it to individual business situations. I have met other designers and self-proclaimed guru's of the web but none of them show the same personal care and expert coaching that Cj does. I highly recommend Cj and Gilbert Studios to any small business owner. You will get it done right and efficiently! You will likely feel like you made a friend too. By the end of our hour on Zoom we solved 5 of the problems on my list, added 1 extra improvement, and the last problem to solve he wanted to consult with the owner of my domain holder first whom he happens to personally know. By the end of our session I have been able to not only check those tasks off the list, but I feel empowered by having gained knowledge and comfort. I am so excited for our next session!

It's almost impossible to interface with Facebook, let alone get them to make a change, but I suspected that if anyone could, it would be CJ, whom I met through a networking group. Through research and cleverness, he found a way three times to reach a live chat person and, on the third try, POOF! My website was no longer banned and Facebook acknowledged it was a flaw in their algorithm that misidentified my site. All this to say, CJ is far more than a site developer. He knows the ins-and-outs of internet workings that make him a valuable resource for whatever ails you in the cyber-jungle. And customer service? Such a great guy with a can-do attitude!
