They specialize in Korean Kuk Sool Hapkido and adds in other styles Sir Glynn (master) has picked up along his decades of learning including self-defense forms, joint locks, breathing, flexibility, and forms. G-Elite teaches their students to defend and fight and this is not just to look fancy and build up false confidence like many other schools these days. Furthermore, Belt progression is based on skill and knowledge and not how much the student has been paying. The parking is plentiful and the cost is reasonable. My family appreciated the lessons and found them useful and concentrated. It wasn't convenient for our own hectic schedule but maybe in the future we'll return when we have more time in our own lives. Note: the studio is in a warehouse and it could get very hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

With over 30+ years of experience under his belt (pun intended), he truly understands the art down to every single detail. When training, he doesn't expect students to just learn techniques in order to gain your next belt. He reflects on your experience and growth at the school before he moves forward with promotions. In doing so, this makes you work hard for your belts and leaves you feeling fulfilled. When I was training with Sir Glynn, I told him all my weak points when it comes to exercise and training. In doing so, Sir Glynn provided advice and techniques in order to work around my strengths and weaknesses. It really allows you as an individual to grow and learn more about your body in ways you didn't know before. If you're looking for a second family, an amazing instructor, and personal growth, then this is the school for you.

I had been itching for a while to learn a new fighting style as well. First, I have to mention that the place is kind of tucked away in the back of a complex. I wish it was more visible from the street, as I probably would've come in sooner. The facility is a good size, and a lot cleaner and more orderly than I've seen at other martial arts gyms. There's plenty of space in the back to store any belongings, and the area for parents and spectators is positioned strategically in the corner as well, so there isn't too much congestion at the front where people have to check in. There's a small mat for beginners and a much bigger mat for the more experienced fighters. There's also a fighting ring for the fight team. The coaches were very welcoming on my first day, and Coach Ash, the owner, even took note that I had previous experience in another style. He used that knowledge to personalize my learning track, which I appreciate a lot. I had come in with several people from my work, and in seeing that we were a group, he even customized a pricing structure to incentivize us to all sign up together. While I know that isn't at all what he is obligated to do as a business owner, it's refreshing to know that someone will try to meet you somewhere in between versus just waiting for you to come to them. In the teen and adult class, so far it feels like it leans more on the teen side (I'm 34), but I hope that will push me to keep up. I've already signed up for a year (great deal per class, and they work with you in case you can't make some classes) and have gotten bruises on my leg. Looking forward to more!

That being said, the staff are all working at the Elk Grove location as well so you can know the high quality you'll get with this team. Floyd and Phil are so helpful and patient. These are the guys you'll probably first get to know when you come in and check out the place. You know immediately that these men both care about getting you set up for what your family needs. Mimi is the front desk boss. She is always ready to help with account questions, uniform and supply needs, and just about anything else. Mr. Michael (AKA Captain America) is the youngest instructor on the staff but you wouldn't know it if you were judging his knowledge or his abilities. He's proven to be fantastic with the younger kids and I've even trained with him myself and he gives the student exactly what they need every time. He slows down when the student needs it but he will also turn up the intensity if he sees the student can handle it. Mister Isaki is the head instructor at Elk Grove, and Mister Jason is the head instructor at Sacramento. These guys are both incredible teachers. They've worked wonders with my son in particular. My son is 8 and a gamer by nature. He typically has little to no interest in physical activity. These two teachers have taken time to push him when he needs it, pull him aside for extra instruction from time to time, and they're also very deliberate about celebrating his efforts publicly. Master Liner is the owner and head instructor for both schools (the boss man). He shows up at classes really often. After he makes rounds greeting parents and students, checking in on how everyone is feeling about their time at PMA, he will then usually teach the class for a bit. He's so good at explaining how to get each part of a move or technique and also WHY it's important to do it that way. I HIGHLY recommend Premiere Martial Arts and am excited to see this new location fully open and hit the ground running.

I never authorized any renewal, yet the charges kept appearing. When I called to explain the situation and try to resolve it, the staff was extremely unprofessional and actually hung up on me while I was trying to explain what was happening. Instead of helping fix the issue, they avoided the conversation completely. Because the unauthorized charges continued and I couldn't get any proper assistance, I was forced to block my accounts just to stop them from taking more money. This kind of billing practice and customer service is unacceptable. No customer should have to deal with unauthorized renewals, ignored concerns, and being hung up on when trying to resolve a billing problem. I strongly recommend that anyone considering signing up read the contract very carefully and keep a close eye on their billing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business.
