Received the worst massage ever on Thursday. Usually this…read moreplace gives good massages, and the receptionist are friendly and welcoming. They provide a nice clean and comfortable environment, but my complaint isn't that, but in regards to a female masseuse who worked there on Thursday (18th June 2020). The lady that was working on Thursday (3-6pm) was a nightmare. She was friendly, but highly incompetent. When it came to massages she had no idea what she was doing. She didn't even know how to massage, which areas were tense and which weren't. She put too much pressure on areas near the pulse, chest, fingers, hands and other delicate areas and not massaging areas like shoulders and upper back. She pushed on my chest near my lungs a few times, which is a no no. She had absolutely no idea where the tense areas that needed massaging are and where you need to be gentle. Her massages were very knuckly and unpleasant. A day after the massage I was stiff, sore and my arms were tingly and numb. Pain started shootings through my hands and wrist. I could feel where she dug her fingers in and it was hurting like crazy. I lost some grip strength and had neck and back pain. It's unlikely a serious injury for me as I am young, but having someone that terribly incompetent massaging is dangerous. If it were someone else it could of been serious. I am not the one to complain or demonise others, but I must speak out about this one. I question the ethics here and for allowing such poor standard practice, with focus solely on profits and little concern for harm to others. Standards in massage industry needs to be put in place. Never again will I come back. Learnt my $60 lesson to not play Russian roulette with my body by getting massages at these cheap unqualified shopping centre masseuses. I'll pay for a qualified remedial massage therapist from now on.
