Our couch had a torn seam that was getting bigger and bigger. I sent a picture to Barry, and within…read morethe next week, he was already on sight doing the repair. He talked me through the process and the repair looks great. I showed him another item with a tear and he said no problem, we were able to agree on a price and took care of that one too. Thanks Barry for the quick and amazing work.

The owner, Barry had quoted me $800 to restore and fix my loose antique mahogany dining room table…read morea year ago. I first had him do some chairs to see his workmanship. It was good. Then the year after, he wanted $2000 just for the table. I thought, it's antique so it's worth it. Barry brought my table back with the top very dull looking and not matching the rest of my set's smooth finish look. He argued with me. He doesn't let anyone speak and interrupts everyone. He is very condescending, even to his assistant. Before he did the job, he told me that my table was beautiful. When he brought it back the first words were, "You gotta see the beautiful work!" But when it came to him explaining that what could be done to make the surface match the shine to the rest of my set, he called my table "junk and all screwed up when I picked it up" and that he made it better. Then when he was about to leave I asked him so what can I do to add the shine back? Only then did he tell me about Oz polish and that I should buy it if I want it to match the other pieces. I didn't agree to $2000 for an incomplete job and insults to my furniture because he didn't like the shiny look. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BARRY unless you want to be talked down on and taken advantage of.

He did excellent work building a highly customized slide-out desk drawer for my home-based flight simulator setup. This job required an expert cabinet maker who was able to understand exactly how to build a very special cutout that could withstand a significant amount of torque generated by my force feedback joystick from Brunner-Innovation of Switzerland. Besides his superior woodworking craftsmanship which is second to none, Fred has the all-important skill of listening to the needs of his customer. He made certain that the proposed custom design that this job required was exactly as I wanted. And his prices are quite reasonable. He began by visiting my home office to understand the exact specifications of the custom desk drawer that job required. From that very beginning Fred was totally professional and kept his word about every aspect of the job. And the final product definitely exceeded my expectations. Fred's work was as good as it gets. I can't imagine anyone who would have done a better job. I highly recommend Fred for any high-end top quality woodworking project. And I thank Fred for his incredibly thorough and detailed work. It's not surprising that Fred has only 5-star reviews.
