The ranch and hunt was above average. I have hunted ranches throughout the US and never had guides…read moreso determined to make the hunt successful. The guides were professional, organized, well prepared and picked us up and dropped us off on time. In addition, the cleaning and cleaning of the animals was done to perfection salvaging every square inch of meat. The food was was outstanding even the desert. Make sure you get Mike to make his world famous banana pudding. We are already penciled in for an even bigger package next year. Mark N. Thibodaux, LA

We both love to fish and this was by far the BEST fishing excursion/trip we have ever taken. We had an amazing day of fishing on the lake, getting 103 largemouth bass to the boat an we probably missed/lost another 50. All fish were great quality as well. Our guide and the owners of Moody Ranch are just outstanding people and very accommodating. This will be a trip with my son that I'll never forget and a birthday that he won't soon forget either! Do not hesitate for 1 second to book a bass fishing trip with Moody Ranch! You will be so glad you did and you will create memories to last a lifetime. This is a special place and I look forward to many future trips with family, friends, and clients. Thank you Moody Ranch for making our experience such a special one!

Houston Arboretum and Nature Center is such a sanctuary for us to reconnect with Nature, reconnect with ourselves. You can find some other beautiful, less wild trails. Or you can explore this Ravine Trail, known for its wilderness, with most elevation change than the others. Deep shade. Tree community. Here and there you will see lovely bunnies and squirrels. Despite these facts, you still meet with other people here and there, peacefully and quietly making steps. And you might feel more safe because actually, you will hear the sound of cars moving fast in freeway. ( which I wish there is more silent and stillness ) All good. A sanctuary right in the heart of busy Houston. This is great! A BIG PLUS to me was NO MOSQUITOES! ( or maybe I was lucky yesterday.) I felt thankful for all of the effort and hard works contributed to Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. So we can have this beautiful place for our busy urban life. May we all have some time for ourselves, reconnecting to the space within, reconnecting to Nature. Best, Chloe P/S: very nice clean restroom located right at Nature Center - Wildflower Trail. Nature Center opens everyday 9am - 4pm. Plan ahead so you and your family can explore more.

But, overall the trails were nice, everything felt lush and alive! Bring water and don't forget to pay for parking. This spot is a great escape from the city.

As a 100% outdoor activity event center located in a flood-prone area, you'd think they'd have a plan. I don't blame the weather on them, but I do expect that they figured out how to create the best experience in spite of it, hours and days before, rather than just shrug and go, 'oh well'. The weather forecast was VERY confident that heavy rain would be there 24+ hours before - all local channels, Space City Weather, Jeff Lindner - it was a SURE thing. For example, bring the food under the tent BEFORE the time we were supposed to be eating, instead of wasting 45 minutes trying to rig a 'path' so we don't get wet waiting in line, even though the biggest problem there was water pooling and mud. The restroom is about a football field away from the only covered area we could remain, so they should have rented a port-o-potty to be closer, or have those plastic sidings to their golf carts to assist people in the mud and rain. Props to the Sheriff's Deputy that seemed more customer service oriented than the staff - he was telling us what was going on and seemed like he wished he could do more. Meanwhile they said they had a lot of staff milling about because the outdoor activities were canceled - not sure why they weren't pushing all the standing water out of the tent, or passing out food, etc. The store bought cookies they brought out were an after-thought, because they canceled the pre-arranged Funnel Cakes but didn't tell anyone. There were so many things canceled or cut short that still could have been managed with some preparation - like more tent siding they could drop down to stop rain from coming under the smaller tent. The food was good, but there was so little of it! I don't think they served the amount that was paid for, we ran out of some things. I can tell they're used to handling young kids, because they were treating us grown adults like we only eat 2 small pieces of brisket, 3 sausage slices and 2 tablespoons of potato salad! I was excited about the petting zoo - I'm sure the animals were safe inside a barn away from the rain. Again, if they had their golf carts prepped for rain, they could have offered to drive us back and forth to see them. There's a lot of risk mitigation that needs to be learned for an event facility such as this - if your event is expecting rain, cancel or reschedule!

I was looking for a banquet room venue for my daughter's sweet 16 party in December. I reached out, and they confirmed that the date I was interested in was available. I let her know approximately how many people and expressed interest in using her catering services. My daughter chose steak and potatoes, and I wanted to add a large charcuterie board. I was told that someone would get back to me in a few days with a quote price. I never heard back, and it's May. My husband brought up a good point thinking that there were probably a lot of big company Christmas parties in December, so my little party was probably not a priority booking during thst busy time. I get it, if that's the case. It's just not good to tell someone you will get back to them in a couple of days, then don't. It's May 3rd. Luckily, I found another place I like even more in Waller County to have her party. I understand choosing priority bookings, but I don't understand not following up at all, even if it is to tell me that my date was no longer available.
