We originally had a photographer planned prior but she fell through last minute. We found out from several photographers in the area that the photographer was a novice and new to the scene so there wasn't a great review on her from their perspective. Went on Yelp to find a photographer for family photos last minute and stumbled upon 777 portraits and TJ was very professional from the get go when I called him for available times. Was able to set up a session that same day later on with Stevie (very chill, personable guy) and made our photo session fun and listened to what we wanted in our shots. Photos came out great and Stevie even texted me telling me that they were uploaded and ready to view in 48 hours after our session! Thank you again 777 Potraits and team! Although our photographer was very nice, the photos taken were not good. Flash was used for every photo so all subjects look over lit. Also there was no assistance with poses, so in some photos there is awkward spaces between people in the group. All other photographers we've worked with would've asked people to move over or spread out to remedy. Ours simply pressed the shutter button. They were very accommodating when we had to shift dates due to a change in schedule and they were willing to work around weather issues even though we ended up not needing to do so. BUYER BEWARE! After a very disappointing experience, we tried to do the right thing and reach out to the company to voice our concerns privately. I was passed from the photographer (Brighton) to a member of the technical team (Barry). Barry stated that he saw exactly what we saw in terms of the problems with our photos. He apologized and stated he would edit/improve the quality of our photos and even went a step further to say that he would provide us with "special gift" to use the next time we returned to Myrtle Beach. It's been weeks since I spoke to Barry and we've yet to have our photos edited in any way and to make the situation worse, no one from the company is responding to us. At this point, I requested a refund and still never heard from anyone since they took our money and provided us with very poor quality photos. read more

We originally tried to book a photo studio to get family photos taken on my dad's 60th birthday vacation, but I could not find a single indoor studio in Myrtle Beach. The reviews on the web for 777 photography were really good and they had very reasonable prices, so I booked one of their photographers. The beach portraits came out AWESOME. I paid for 2 hours I think and we were only able to get an hour in due to the light but in total our photographer took about 700 photos. All of the shots we wanted (different people arrangements) he took, and since we had never been to myrtle beach before, the photographer took us to a great location in North Myrtle Beach where it was secluded and very pretty for photos. All for around $200 plus tax. The initial deposit (mine was $155) you do over the phone with a credit card, and the balance you give to the photographer in cash along with tip. The best part is that they give you a flash drive with all of your photos, and a photo release, on the spot. Very happy with these guys and I would recommend them highly. read more

T.J. called me right away and made it work on our time line. So so accommodating. He arranged for pictures in our home. Fantastic, where do I begin? My fiancé and I were in the area from Pennsylvania for our elopement. Being that we're from Pennsylvania and although we've each been vacationing to Myrtle Beach for the last 20 years or so, we didn't have any connections or ideas for a photographer/videographer, so I turned to Thumbtack as a way to find qualified candidate. Long story short, our videographer (booked through Thumbtack) cancelled merely 30 hours before our wedding and our photographer didn't seem to reliable either. In a panic, my parents sent me links (from their home in PA) to photographer/videographers in South Carolina and this was one of them. I called, nervously awaiting a response and a man named TJ answered the phone. I was immediately put at ease. He was so kind and honestly felt like an old friend. Thankfully, our elopement was on a Sunday evening and during COVID so I had a glimmer of hope that this could work out. TJ hooked us up with 2 photographers and a videographer, who just so happened to be his daughter Mya, at an incredible price, especially so last minute. Travis, one of the photographers (I unfortunately cannot remember the female's name but was mostly in contact with Travis) and Mya, the videographer were professional and kind and made us comfortable immediately, given we were both a little anxious and nervous on our wedding day. I was looking for a photographer that could take a large group and use their skills placing us and taking creative photos. We had 20 family members coming to Myrtle from Illinois & Georgia and I took a chance on 777 when I found them on the internet. I wanted a whole family photo and then break it down by families and they did an awesome job. Stephanie had great ideas and some props we used. She had a great location on the beach that was more private without all the traffic. I booked with TJ and he was so great at setting our date & time and communicated with me . The timing of the photo was perfect for lighting. we were so excited about getting our pictures at the beach as a family we took our time getting ready makeup hair ect when we got there it started raining and continuted to rain we were so so wet neer did the guy offer to redo or re schedule ieven tho its says on page if it rains they will n the pictures you can how wet all the work we did on makeup all hair wet and our clothes where een sticking to us the picture are ok but would have been soooo much better if we had been DRY read more

This is a great deal and 777 did great work with our beach photos. What is really excellent is we got a release so we could use the photographs the way we wanted, no going back to the studio and ordering a picture for a high price and waiting weeks for it to come in. Nope, you get a link to their website and can download the high resolution digital pictures to use as you wish. I hope this is the way more studios will do business in the future. I will use them when we come to the beach again. I think our photographer Matt said the pictures would be ready in 3 days or so but they were ready in a day and a half. I have used several professional studios before for group shots and weddings, so I know of what I speak. I highly recommend 777. read more

I would definately not recommend this company or TJ for your wedding photography needs. I hired his company to handle my August 5, 2013 wedding photography and it turned out to be a very bad choice. After numerous issues I had prior to my event the real trouble came after the event when he started sending me threatening emails in response to a complaint I made. He threatened to have his attorney call me if I left a negative wedding review. He went so far as to comment on the "wrinkles on my face" and I had to ultimately block him from sending me any more emails. Fortuantely, all my other wedding vendors were wonderful, so my wedding day was a memorable one.
