This was spectacular!!! We did the afternoon adventure. The weather was amazing. The boat was clean, bathrooms were clean. They had snacks and beer and wine. The lady that did all the talking was fun, interesting and very knowledgeable. We saw lots of humpback whales, and we got a rare siting of a school of white belly dolphins. I highly recommend!!

What a wonderful, amazing trip. Saw Fin Whales and Humpback Whales, including a mom and baby feet from the boat. Naturalist kept everyone engaged and was very knowledgeable. Can not recommend enough. Boat was roomy and comfortable.

Amazing, awesome, exciting experience with 7 Seas Whale Watch!!! Everything was perfect. I used the Groupon deal and went on 1pm boat to watch the whales. The weather was perfect. While going up, we saw hundreds of dolphins! The boat driver gave us enough chances to watch them, took couple of rounds near the dolphins. Then after few minutes, we saw a sunfish. I had never seen a sunfish and it was very interesting. Then we went further to see the whales and Wow! we got to see so many of them. The best part about this whole experience is that they make sure both the sides (left and right) of the boat get to see the whales. They have their own trick to ensure that happens. The announcer is really good too! I would definitely go back, probably next year in summer, because it's getting colder now! Great job 7 Seas team! You are the best!

My family and I went on an 830AM tour and it was EXCELLENT. We got there and the crew welcomed us, let us know where the restrooms were and left on time. All the info we got before going on the tour was super helpful- what to expect, managing expectations about weather, what we might see etc. The experience was wonderful, especially for my ten year old. We went less than 10 miles out and saw 5 whales (humpback mother and baby and two others and a fin whale. We even saw harbor porpoises and were treated to a great presentation from the staff the whole time. We all learned so much and had a great time. We would do it again. Parking is good, snack bar is great and you can even drink on board.

This was a bucket list item for me despite the fact that I get terrible seasickness. The weather for the day I had reserved called for thunderstorms so I was really concerned seas were going to be rough and I wouldn't fare well. I stopped at the location the day before to inquire about whether or not they would cancel based on forecast and the wonderful woman (who I'm embarrassed to say I didn't catch her name) checked on forecasted sea conditions and told me I was in luck because the morning showed only 2 foot seas, practically flat calm. I mentioned how badly I wanted to go on this trip despite my history of all types of motion sickness. I came equipped with motion sickness patches, but was told to take Dramamine starting the night before, to acquire sea bands for the wrists and chew ginger gum. I followed this regiment and I'm happy to report that I experienced ZERO motion sickness. The lady who manned the snack bar onboard the boat also suggested the best place for me to sit in order to feel the least movement. I was thrilled to be able to enjoy the entire trip and saw several whales, which was a dream come true. It was a great way to spend my birthday and I would definitely recommend 7 Seas and utilize them again.

Best day ever!!! We observed 30+ common dolphins and then 8-10 humpback whales The captain worked hard to get us to the right place despite having to go farther out than typical.... they were determined to make sure we saw whales and had a great time. Don't miss this whale watch tour.... go at 1:30 so you can stay out longer if needed to find the whales!

Easy to work with, boat, and great shape, Captain knew where to go to see whales. Just a nice experience.

Had a great time. Crew was great. Saw dolphins and whales. Guide was full of information about the species and the individual animals.

Captain Dan took us out for a half day fishing trip. He did an awesome job. And I don't say that…read morejust because we caught fish but because he made the whole experience special, like we were family! First, the three of us in the trip were seniors and one had mobility difficulties that made getting in and out of the boat dufficult.. Capt. Dan found solutions and make accommodations that made it easy as possible. Thank you! Once in the boat, Capt.Dan quickly adapted to what we wanted to do. He clearly loves fishing and being on the water. He knows the area around Gloucester, near shore and out a ways so he could quickly adapt to sea conditions and ensure our best chances for catching fish. He let us set our level of involvement, whether just sitting back as he trolled, with rods in the holders, or holding the rod and actively fishing. He used both live bait (mackerel that we actually fished for) and trolling lures. On this trip we caught a couple of the biggest fish I've ever caught! A 32 inch bluefish that really put the word sport into sport fishing! And a 42 inch striper that easily weighed 30 pounds. Both were caught near shore in protected areas with minimal chop (one of our party surprisingly got seasick..a first for her and to which he adapted immediately). We even cast a couple of lines as we tied up at the dock and he cleaned our fish. We almost caught another striper! Like I said Captain Dan went above and beyond for our party, ensuring we had a great day on the water. He made us feel like family! I highly recommend this charter!

They pack about 40 people on each run, but we had plenty of room to walk around and view everything. Our guide was very funny and kept us all engaged during the tour. The captain did a good job of keeping us on track. You get to see a whole lot of Kennebunkport on this tour. The boat passes the Bush compound for some cool shots along with many other huge estates. The pace is comfortable and you have plenty of time to take pictures or ask questions. Two lobster traps are picked up and we got like 7 lobsters on our tour. They are rubber banded and we are allowed to play with / photograph them. It is a very cool experience and you learn a lot about the laws and rules in place to sustain the lobster population. Very good tour at a good value. Check it out!

The drawbacks are that it's a hike to get to Kennebunkport. Its a tourist town and crowded AF in the summer... all the things I don't like. That comes with the territory. The vessel, while not overly crowded, does not have the best seating in the world. If you have a bad back, as I do, there is limited seating that has adequate back support. All the demanding hags will claim as many of the seats as they can for non-present family members. Advise you to get there as early as you can, get in the queue, and push all the Karens out of the way so you can get your claim to the best possible seat. Lots of little scamps running around (in the summer) too. That being said, the whales do not have scheduled showing on certain sides of the boat. We were lucky to see the first breach on our side... but in total the number and scale of the breaches was a little underwhelming. The commute for the vessel in/out of the harbour and to/from the farthest point was major sleepy time. I would not do it again. They do offer vouchers that are (supposedly) infinitely good to come back if there were no whale sightings. The price is not so bad though. If you want to experience a lengthy boat ride, then this is for you.

The reservation process on line was straight forward and easy to use. The tickers were added to my iPhone wallet which would have been easy enough to board, but the staff had names available to check off which was even easier than fumbling with your phone or the internet access. For those who showed up on site to purchase tickets, those were available on site. Staff was young and friendly from greeting to service in the bar section with light food, snacks and beverages. The staff providing updates on the actual whales we did see was fascinating to hear. They were able to identify the two whales we did watch and made the experience all the better and personable. PSA - the staff works on tips similar to your waitstaff at a restaurant, so please be prepared to show your appreciation for their service, as warranted. While spotting whales is not guaranteed, we did see a couple of them, but not without a lot of travel. We were out almost a couple of hours to find them which also meant that after watching for about an hour, it was an equal trip back to the harbor. Keep that in mind. I am sure we all wish the trip was more like a 3 hour tour (with a happier ending than those on Gilligan's Island) but be prepared for spending 6 hours on the boat, especially if you are bringing young children who can become bored very easily especially in tight quarters. As a result, we returned to the dock at 6PM, 30 mins after the planned 5:30PM arrival while boarding the boat at 12:45PM for a scheduled 1:30PM departure. It should be noted that we did leave almost 20 mins late despite the booking warning that they will not wait for any passengers (but we did for 4 people...but I won't tell if you don't tell). The boat itself was clean and had plenty of seating inside and outside depending on your preference on the first two decks. They also have 2 bathrooms on the boat. I do not know why the top deck was not open as that would provide the best view of whales IMHO. Unfortunately, parking is a hassle in the area as most lots nearby only allow a 3 hour reservation via app or kiosk while you may be on the boat 6 hours. So, you run the risk of paying for 3 hours and then getting a ticket from the police which are located next door and cruise the lots steadily. Be warned.

The boat isn't overcrowded and the staff are great, they are very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and kind, and it's obvious they love what they do - we enjoyed chatting to the on-board naturalist. The boat has two outdoor viewing decks and an enclosed sitting area by the snack bar. We preferred being outside but even in mid-June we had to wear coats and several layers because it gets chilly out at sea. We saw an acrobatic male humpback who breached multiple times - it was an experience of a lifetime!
