He started by greeting us barefoot, which was an odd choice. He coughed & cleared his throat throughout the whole massage. When I asked for the table warmer on, he said it was, but then bent down and turned it on. When he used his arms to massage me it felt like a hairy loofa *gross*. I had cupping added on to my service and I'm not sure if Pete knew what he was doing. I felt immediate relief when Stacey did my cupping, but the cups didn't stay and weren't nearly as helpful when Pete did them. Lastly, Pete lingered for a VERY long time after the massage. It's very awkward as you're trying to pay and leave a tip with someone is staring at you...still barefoot *professionalism* I would go back again, but I would definitely ask for Stacey.

I stopped by on a whim because my back was killing me. Marilyn (the owner) was the only one working and she asked me to come back in 30 minutes, so I did. She was very nice and did a great job. From the outside, the place looks a little scetch, but it was a lot nicer on the inside. It's pretty clean and bigger than it looks from the outside. It's listed as "Asian Massage" on Yelp, but the outside only says "Massage". It's a nice place to go and get a massage (no funny stuff), and the owner was very nice. I would come back for sure the next time I'm in the area.

Quirky meets relaxation meets meditation -- with a very Corpus vibe. That's probably the best way I…read morecan describe this "Peace of Mind Massage Therapy and Natural Healing". I requested a massage that was therapeutic but not quite deep tissue. She started working on me and, at some point, I noticed she completely changed her technique. I remember lying there thinking, "Hmmm...does she actually know what she's doing?" About two seconds later, I was asleep. The table itself deserves its own review. The table vibrated and was actually soft! Obviously not so soft as to interfere with the massage but soft enough for me to instantly know this was a much more comfortable experience. She had the lymphatic feature going for probably the first 15-20 minutes and again for the last 15-20 minutes. It's an unusual sensation, incredibly relaxing, and unlike any massage table I've experienced before. It wasn't until AFTER the massage that she explained why she had suddenly changed what she was doing. For years, I've described this sensation across my shoulders and upper back as feeling like "bubble wrap popping" underneath the skin. Obviously much more painful. I've never really known what it was. She felt it too. That's why she changed techniques. She explained that what she was feeling involved the fascia/myofascial tissue and actually pulled out one of those medical anatomy illustrations you'd expect to see hanging in a doctor's office and showed me exactly what she was talking about. Suddenly, the change in technique made perfect sense. I also learned that her specialized table isn't just about comfort. She receives referrals because of it and is able to use it for lymphatic massage and other therapeutic or medically indicated massage work. This is NOT your cookie-cutter luxury spa. It's a little quirky, peaceful, meditative and very Corpus Christi -- and it all works. Most importantly, I didn't just feel good when I walked out the door. I felt noticeably better for a good week to 10 days afterward. And yes...I owe her an apology for those approximately two seconds when I was lying there questioning whether she knew what she was doing.
