Shopped and went to self checkout. Started scanning my items in my cart with the scanning gun. An employee came over to me and said that I'm not aloud to do that. Older short lady with a silver bob haircut. I was confused. She said she can't see what I was scanning and that I needed to put my items on the counter then scan. She then ran to get a manager. He came over and said she was concerned as to what I scanning. I told him he and she is welcome to watch me scan my items to make sure I was scanning everything. He said thats ok and walked away. He was nice about the situation. She also walked away. I paid then went to get lottery tickets. Long line so I decided to watch the lady/employee. I would like to add the older gentleman next to me was scanning his items the exact same way I was. She never went up to him??? As I'm watching her I noticed she approached people who were not white. I am asain and get mistaken for a Hispanic woman often. She walked up to a Hispanic woman with a child and checked to make sure all of her items were paid for. She was rude and invaded her personal space. I was so discussed that I just left without my lottery tickets. I'm not sure why I felt the need to share this but if you were approached by this woman, you weren't the only one. I will not shop at that walmart again.

This is the worst Publix experience I've ever had! It was Sunday Feb 12…read more I drove FAR because I called and was told that this location had a "Great salad bar and wing bar too!!" after arriving I saw the store manager just staring leaning on a display... just standing there, not even saying hello to customers, BRO, you're the manager, I am a customer - stop acting like a teenager! Anyway, I went to the salad bar and it was completely empty, I literally thought it was closed so I asked a worker breaking down boxes "what are the salad bar hours?" and she replied, "there should be salad and wings there now but we are very understaffed" and she went back to what she was doing. So, I asked 2 young Publix workers (2 kids - girl long straight hair and a taller kid with black hair) standing in front of the deli counter if they could alert someone that the salad/wing bar was empty that I would do some shopping I planned on doing and returning for to the salad/wings bar they replied that they were going to go on break so they would do it when they returned. I've work at Publix before and I would been written up if I said I was "on break" without finding them help. So, I was just over it and as I was leaving... the manager was STILL just standing there. He had ZERO clue that his entire deli department was struggling. I told him what happened and why we were leaving and he said he would ask someone to help me... ummm aren't you the manager? I left with nothing and went to Walmart, YUP, Walmart has better service than this Publix - shocking.

Dear short gas station employee with the lift belt, As I…read moreleft the store after offering you a job making 4X as much as you currently make, you yelled that you don't work there for the money. I was hoping you could tell me why you do work here. No matter how much I mull it over I can't come up with a good answer. It clearly isn't the work itself as you had yelled at me for taking a second cup of free ice not five minutes prior. Is it women? Fame? Freedom? Do you just find unlimited soda that amazing? I assumed your outburst was the result of a bad day, and I understand that. I spent twenty years working crappy gas station/serving/pizza delivery jobs and I had many bad days where I wanted to yell at people for reasons that seem silly now. So when you freaked out about literally one cup of ice, instead of meeting your anger with anger I wanted to try to help, I promise I didn't offer it to be insulting or condescending or mean. If you ever change your mind, the job offer was real and the job is interesting and fun and creative and gives you the freedom to set your own schedule and work at your own pace and although it's occasionally hard work it is never back breaking and in no way jeopardizes your physical health (and it isn't a pyramid scheme or cold calling or selling anything to your family and friends or any of the BS jobs that claim unlimited earning potential.) That was my real name and number and I was serious about the pay. So if you ever get sick of the fame, women and unlimited soda feel free to dig the slip I gave you out of the trash and text the number on it. I can't promise you won't have any more bad days, but I promise you'll never feel so frustrated and unfulfilled that you find yourself yelling at strangers about a few ice cubes again. Sincerely, Zen Naticchia
