He wasn't expecting me to come back and ask for that receipt, sir you are crook and you have no business running a store or working as a cashier. I've ordered subs and deli meats and cheeses too. But today I wanted to bring back a Boars head sub for dinner. There were a lot of people in line, which is ok. Something I noticed was the rotisserie chicken cooker. Raw chicken was sitting inside but the doors were open. I'm thinking, eww salmonella, chicken dropping below safe levels. The door was open for over 15 minutes! The employees were gathering another rack of chicken to load into the rotisserie cooker. Once that rack was loaded, the employees went back to gather more raw chicken...STILL leaving the door open. By the time it was my turn to order my sub, the chicken had been sitting in the open for over 30 minutes! The employees were not in any rush and didn't seem to care about the potential danger they created. They were mostly talking and laughing while the rotisserie door stood open. When I ordered my sub, I mentioned that the raw chicken had been out in the open for a long time. She didn't seem to care. No sense of urgency on anyone's part. This was on 5/18/26 around quarter to 4:00 . I picked up a few other items, passed by the rotisserie chicken around 5:00 and it was STILL open! I hope no one gets sick from eating that chicken. The employees are usually friendly, helpful, and provide excellent customer service, which is why Publix is my favorite grocery store. Unfortunately, my experience at this particular location today was disappointing. When I asked the deli employee if I could purchase popcorn chicken by weight and have about half a cup filled, she responded very rudely and told me they don't do that and that I had to buy one of the pre-filled large cups. I understand that different stores or departments may have different policies, and I had no problem buying the larger cup instead. My concern wasn't the policy--it was the way I was treated. At every other Publix I've visited, the deli staff has gladly filled the amount I requested and sold it by weight, so I was surprised by both the response and the attitude. I simply believe customers should be treated with kindness and respect, even when the answer is no. I hope management can remind their staff that courteous customer service is one of the things that makes Publix stand out. I know this experience isn't typical of the excellent service I've received at other Publix locations.
