Inside they were busy so we sat outside and of course, it's love bug season so we had to protect our drinks. That is no fault of Summer Moon whatsoever, just Florida! The coffee bar has several different roasts and flavored coffees to try, or you can order the coffee bar as your drink and get a mug for unlimited self-serve refills. We ordered their signature iced coffee, and it was delicious. The food menu has plenty of ways to customize your meal. I had the crab salad sandwich with a side of cinnamon bread, and it was fantastic. I'm not a fan of celery, but it was finely chopped instead of having big chunks, so it was perfect. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with great food, delicious coffee, and genuinely friendly service. I'm really glad we found Sweet Bean, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to.

Service isn't slow or rude, it's efficient and adequate. Simple, charming, do your own thing once you've ordered and enjoy your day. If you're expecting the normal amount of over the top, endless checking on you and the more typical American service standard, you're probably going to be disappointed. I think this place is terrific and takes me straight back overseas every time I come. They also serve Lavazza coffee, of which in a big fan. Give it a try, have realistic expectations for a small, local owned and run cafe and you'll love it.

We had a really good experience at the other location, but today's experience was even better! Service extraordinaire from our heartfelt greeting by Nicole and owner/chef, David. Smooth sailing all the way to the end, when Nicole brought us our complimentary Zefflers (spelling?), or mini beignets. Our main meals also hit the spot. Paul loves their Monte Cristo and I was in the mood for blueberry pancakes and bacon (also got two eggs over medium as part of their Small Morning Bloom). The blueberry pancakes were hot, fluffy, flavorful and full of delicious blueberries. The eggs were exactly over medium and the bacon was crisp. It should feel welcoming and comfortable, with enough room to work, meet, catch up, or simply slow down for a while. What makes the story of Chocolattés even more meaningful is where it began. In 2003, Chocolattés opened inside HealthPark Medical Center, a place where most people probably don't wish to spend their day. Yet, one cup of coffee at a time, they found a way to uplift visitors, staff, and families during some of life's more difficult moments. Over the next 12 years, Chocolattés expanded to all four major hospitals, bringing that same experience to even more people. Today, with two locations in Southwest Florida, that story has evolved into something you can enjoy outside the hospital walls. And the coffee? This is craft coffee in every sense of the word. Their beans are roasted in-house, and there is almost a science behind how they create each cup. You can tell there is intention behind what they serve. When she served us our drinks, mine was half full, which I assumed was normal, but decided against asking why this was because of the cold attitude we were given. Also, the kava did not give the same effects as what we are used to back in California, so other than the taste, it was not worth the money. We were nothing but kind and excited to give this kava bar a try but, unfortunately, this encounter left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be back.
