Absolutely unbelievable! let me start by saying my husband planned a wonderful special day for our…read moresix-year-old autistic daughter for Valentine's Day. Seeing as her birthday is next month, we wanted to go ahead and try to go to a tea house and see if she enjoys it enough to invite a few friends to our home next month and replicate the event.. now it is on the pricey side, but we thought it would be a special day just for three of us. We not only called for reservations, but then arrived early and although we were sat, we did not get any fresh brewed tea. we got hot water and no authenticity at all bagged tea not loose and if she tells you she had loose teeth, then the waitress was at fault, but I don't wanna blame the waitress either like she has so-called reviews that she answer she blames it on someone else whether it's the waitresses and there was a prefix menu, but she didn't have time where she's really busy or somebody had the flu or they're lying or a wall review. I am not that person I have been using yelp since it began. I am a top contributor and I have to say this was a very bad experience and I will not blame it on a single person except the manager and the staff themselves who were not doing anything in the back as we were watching like all the other if you said it takes forever it is a bad luck and they don't come back to the table and serve properly. They don't have time to even say hello and really get to the table in a timely manner. At that point, we got a small salad with no silverware and no cream and sugar so basically we were waiting for our beautiful two/three tiered high tea that was a prefix menu "supposedly??" But after 45 minutes and absolutely no one coming around and still no silverware cream or sugar we had to ask for three times including the owner and we still had nothing else. It was nearly 4 PM and my little girl was starving as was my husband who would've rather been anywhere at that point After the third go round we decided to leave! I'm diabetic and this was crazy! In my almost 46 years. I have never left a restaurant. I hope that you all have a better experience than we did...next time go to a diner! Don't waste nearly $60 pp something. You can buy at Sam's Club and serve yourself if it ever shows up! Angry is not even the word! Prefix my foot! ***Update: I saw what you decided to respond and like I said you are your own worst enemy because I have NO responsibility to tell you anything about being diabetic if I have to wait an hour for a $60 plate of food that you never served me what do I have to pay for? I don't believe that the world is built on you do nothing then I have to pay you for something? Wtf? I saw the other post you blame everybody by yourself. You blame when you're busy you blame it on Valentine's Day. You blame it on your waitress is having the flu. You blame it on everybody by yourself and as far as I'm concerned from sitting there and watching you for an entire hour go back-and-forth and do absolutely nothing. It's your fault nobody else's don't tagline my editorial because you think you wanna be right that doesn't work! I can go home and get hot water. Thank you very much for nothing. You are not only a nasty woman, but you also show a very sincere lack of understanding when it comes to how to run a business not only is it not my job to tell you I'm diabetic it's not my job to take my autistic daughter and have her wait over an hour for food. I don't care how many people you have. All those things are just excuses and as far as I was told when I grow up, it's about results not excuses!!!! SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR RESTAURANT WILL REPOST ALL OVER!!!!

It's been a while since I've updated a review. Often, timing and frequency of visiting an…read moreestablishment will stop me from penning something new. But after moving to Ronkonkoma back in the spring and diving into the coffee scene of this area, I've realized that Kings Coast deserves a fifth star. I mean I was close to originally giving KC all five celestials when I wrote my initial review, but I felt like the pricing just had me a little irked. Flash forward and I've realized coffee has just gotten expensive (even Dunkin' isn't as cheap as it once was). Though I'll say that the quality you receive at Kings Coast is lightyears above any coffee chain. Their drinks are handcrafted with consistency in flavor and enjoyment which makes the price that much more worth it. Plus if you sign up for the Cash App you can actually earn points and free drinks (two trips ago, one of my coffees was free!). Yeah, I know you get points from Dunkin' and Starbucks too, but the drink choices at Kings Coast are just spectacular and make you want to spend your hard-earned money. There are plenty of hot and iced options always on the menu, plus they have seasonal selections to choose from which are quite tasty. Case in point was the Smashed Pumpkin drink, which was a delicious gourd-esque coffee concoction. Their seasonal Nutella latte is a favorite of my wife (and rather delicious). Though the drink that really had me push for an update is their draft nitro latte. This is something I haven't seen at any other coffee shop except here. I like to add in their house-made vanilla flavor which creates a frothy, sweet, incredible creation. By far, this is my favorite coffee drink right now. Coffee is of course the most important piece to Kings Coast, though I'll say the ambiance in here is just awesome. It was awesome the first time I ever walked in, and it's only supplanted itself in that feeling. They have such a chill vibe that I just love. I can't figure out if we're in Miami or Long Island, but all I know is the neon pink logo, coffee bag decor, greenery all along the menu, and the local art corner creates an experience. Overall, Kings Coast Coffee Co. deserves all the stars Yelp will give it. Their setup is superb and most importantly, the coffee is extremely legit. Oh and did I mention they're canning their coffee now too? It doesn't get better than that. You'll trbe hard-pressed to find a place with more unique, genuine, and tasty coffee options than here. Consider this a well-deserved and much-needed five star update.

Caffe Italia - When you're here, you're in Italy!

If you think you've had great gelato, Caffe Italia will make you question everything you thought…read moreyou knew. The man behind the magic is Mike, the owner -- and he is the real deal. Born in Italy and trained by the best, making gelato isn't his job, it's his calling. You can taste that distinction in every single bite. Mike is constantly developing new recipes, hand-picking fresh fruit at the market, and importing specialty ingredients straight from Italy when he can't find what meets his standards locally. This is a man who simply refuses to cut corners. My family and I have been loyal customers for nearly 8 years, and what's remarkable is that it's just as mind-blowing today as it was the very first time we walked through the door. That kind of consistency is rare -- and it speaks volumes. Over the years, we've brought roughly 40 friends and family members here for the first time. Every single one of them has raved about it. That's not a coincidence. That's excellence. If you're visiting for the first time, do yourself a favor: try the rainbow cookie gelato. You can thank me later. And while many people get it to go, I suggest having it there. The shop is tastefully decorated, it's clean, it's comfortable. For fifteen minutes you'll think you're in Italy. Caffe Italia isn't just the best gelato in the county -- it may very well be the best you'll ever have. Don't walk. Run.

I was just in Rome, Italy and paid €7.00 for 2 cones of the most amazing gelato by the Spanish steps in a touristy expensive area. We shouldn't be paying these prices in deer park. The coffee here is excellent, especially the drip coffee, and the prices are great. we ordered Drip Coffee -- 5/5 Iced Matcha Latte -- about 4/5 with vanilla and almond milk Tres Leches Sweet Glaze Donut -- 2/5 The matcha latte was good, though slightly sweet with the vanilla. The donut was just okay this time. but last time we had the blueberry donut, which was really good. no bathroom, very limited seating ( two tables), but plenty of parking and a really nice, relaxing vibe. Man, I can window shop with the best of them! Walking inside I see I have the place to myself. I look to the left wall and see the various coffee bags. Once I'm at the register, I order a cappuccino. While waiting for my drink, a young dad walks in with his two sons. The sons run up to the counter and they scream, blackouts! ? The woman behind the counter takes out the most delicious looking doughnuts. She grabs two doughnut for the kids and wraps them up. Man those doughnuts look incredible! I was tempted to buy one but instead I chill. I walk over to the various coffee beans on display and buy a bag of espresso beans. I have a Moke pot at home, its time for me to dust it off and make some espresso. I make espresso pretty good, my grandparents had it down to a science. Georgio's Coffee Roaster, it was a pleasure to visit your store. Welcome to Stony Brook!
