Surprise, it is not Mexican, it is Spanish/Brazilian grocery store with a restaurant. They make their own breads and have a daily buffet! I was flying solo in the neighborhood and stop by for an early lunch. You have to enter the restaurant from the Grocery entrance door! In the back, behinds the selves, there were breads, muffin and other sweets on display and on the right, is a door way to a restaurant. A staff greeted me and I explained to him, this is my first visit here. Do you charge by weight or all you can eat? He explained to me in half English and Portuguese that it is all you can eat. It was early around 11:30 and he is stilling preparing the buffet. He prepared me a grilled steak with onion especially for me. There were Fried Pork skins or Pururuca de porco, Pasta, Chicken with Okra, Feijoada (Brazilian bean stew), white rice and salad bar. I started with a little salad and it was fresh! I have a bowl of Feijoada over rice and Pururuca de porco. It was delicious. This is a meal by itself! The pasta was spots on. I saw a sign "Caldo de Cana" or sugarcane juice, but I opted for a Guarana soda! It went well with my man-size lunch! Is this a high-end place like Rodizio or Texas de Brazil. It does not have a great selection on the weekday and not in the best location in town but the food is delicious.

Anyway, if you need them, they got them. This market had a small eatery up in one corner. It was very popular amongst the locals. I would go there if I could go with some one who knew what to order. Besides, these were working people and were in their lunch break. I would have felt bad about taking a table up and struggling through the menu with a waitress. Despite the fact we were way out of our element the employees went over and beyond to make sure we liked what he had made. Oh I forgot to mention....I'm not sure about other Publix spots, but these guys carry Beach flip flops, foam noodles, etc. Produce looks fresh and everything else seems like in tip-top shape. And if all you need are small drinkables, there are a couple of Grab-and-Go refrigerators stocked with small loose water bottles, juice and other stuff. For over a month, I have been harassed and followed by an employee who typically works outside collecting carts, his name tag says "Javi" and goes by the name of Javiero Fernandez, unfortunately for me this is not his real identity. Due to not having his real name I am unable to place a restraining order and Publix denied help towards my concerns for my own safety. Store manager and Assitant manager were informed of my situation. I have been made aware that this is not his first incident, which makes it very concerning that management has allowed him to remain employed. Because of this, I no longer feel safe shopping here or anywhere. A grocery store should be a safe environment, and failing to address repeated behavior like this is unacceptable. Ignoring situations like this puts customers at risk and reflects very poorly on this location. I have informed all my family and friends not to shop at this Publix location due to this danger. This predator can be looking for his next victim anytime soon so please watch out for those who shop here.

I specifically asked the butcher for a fresh case because I was concerned about how long it had been sitting out. He refused and assured me it was "fresh." When I got home and opened the meat, it had a strong rotten egg odor, clearly indicating it was spoiled. There was no way this was safe to eat. I returned the next morning around 9:30 AM and spoke with the manager (Marcella). She handled the meat with her bare hands, said it "smelled fine," and told me I could still cook it. I explained this was for a gathering and could make people sick, but she refused to give me a refund or replacement and walked away. This is not just bad customer service--this is a serious food safety issue. Selling potentially spoiled meat and refusing to correct it is unacceptable and dangerous. I would strongly caution others to check their purchases carefully, especially meat products from this location.
