The ambiance would have been pure Rt66-style Americana if not for the tiny Buddhist shrine in one corner overflowing with impressive offerings of fresh donuts. Now to what gives the fifth star: spicy means spicy here. We got the spicy sausage&cheese croissant and the spicy boudin croissant. Raz generally eats a single bite of these Texas favorites, turns up his nose at lack of flavor, and leaves them for me. This time I only got one bite! The boudin was definitely the best we've had to-date. The prices were almost shockingly low for the portions, making Dublin Donuts the single best value in the last several years of road-trip.

They were so nice and pleasant. New owners not so much but we'd overlook it bc they were a bit closer and interactions were not so much rude just stoic and no smile. The younger girl was ok but it was the older woman. But today was the last straw. My husband returned home vowing never to go back there again. He said he used the drive thru this morning, absolutely no one behind him yet the woman with the very short hair was curt, rushed him, like she was annoyed and like she just wanted him gone. With so much competition a smile goes a long way. Whatever happened to the basics of customer service. Customers especially repeat customers is what helps a business thrive. In fact, even if you don't want to smile at least don't treat your paying customers like they're an irritant. Early Donuts is our Must Stop when we drive from Austin TX to Santa Fe. The donuts are the best,…read moreand the family people that work at the store are so friendly. Last time, we didn't get there until almost noon, and they were out of most of the morning's donuts. They gave us (without charge) the donut holes and whatever else they had from the virtually empty donut case. We will be driving through there again tomorrow and, if we can't leave Austin early enough, we may call ahead to try to order donuts. We have two driving routes between Austin and Santa Fe. The northern route has more trucks and might be a little slower, but on our "outbound" drive, we take the northern route just because of Early Donuts. Returning, we take the southern route because we couldn't get to Early Donuts on time anyway.
