Having to take my daughter out of here hurt. The trainers / instructors were excellent and on top of being fantastic at Jiu Jitsu they were equally mastered at handling kids who might throw a fit or become upset or aggressive. In the time my daughter spent there I clearly recognized how she developed her attitude toward teamwork, respect, self-esteem, discipline.... They were very warm and welcoming toward newcomers who might be a little intimidated in the new environment. I saw several instructors who were all great but in particular I'll mention Andrew who was amazing with handling the kids, managing conflicts and teaching respect without ever losing his cool, and Jason and Patrick were both exceptional instructors who helped round out the positive learning experience and environment. I'd recommend Valley Jiu Jitsu for anybody, any age, looking to toughen up and learn the technique and enhance your attitude and self-discipline. Seeing my daughter grow and learn there was amazing and I give my deepest thanks to the instructors!

Buyer Beware: this place has unfair "contracts" that lock you in to pay for services that you won't…read moreuse. On MULTIPLE OCCASIONS my credit card was overcharged without my permission. If you sign up for a "special", then you're locked in to a contract that has no savings for the customer at all. Don't think that you're getting a deal... Because you're not. And trying to cancel a contract with them is worse than canceling a cellphone contract. They sent me to collections but luckily I caught it before it affected my credit. RIDICULOUS. How are you going to send me to collections for services I never received? (Again, you basically need an attorney to try and cancel their contract.) The owner then proceeds to tell you that he doesn't deal with the payment system.... Which is a total cop out because clearly he does deal with the payment system. I've trained in many Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gyms around Pennsylvania and this one by far has the most ridiculous payment system I've ever heard of. No one should be forced to pay for training that they didn't receive. I'm still trying to get my $40 bucks back from "late fees" they charged me with.... I chalked it up as a loss, but I'm writing an honest review because I've yet to see my refund from the "Payment Company" this is not how gyms should be run. Buyer Beware.

They are in a really good central location for the North East region. Very easy to find. If I lived in the area, this would be my home away from home. They are always bringing in quality martial artists for seminars and stand alone as a great place to train. I look forward to more visits in the future.
