As much as I hate seeing physical bookstores disappear, LOOK is a worthy successor, especially for Main Street Bisbee. They offer a well-curated selection of vintage merchandise that is part gallery, part home-decor store. Prices are actually really reasonable for a brick-and-mortar vintage showroom. They still seem to have plenty of space available for more artists/other to display and sell their work or cool vintage-y things. I've had my dog with me twice when I've stopped in, and they haven't minded at all :)

Poe sculpts (and paints and draws) really thoughtful series. Last year the series was on bombs/rockets-this year insects, think mosquitoes thousands of times larger than life! He also creates fun clocks-updated funky cuckoo clocks. Poe organizes the art derby part of the annual Soap Box Derby race on the 4th-a wonderful community event that is worth the trip from anywhere in AZ. Sam Poe Gallery is a must stop in Bisbee. We're hoping to take a little piece of the gallery home soon.

He makes whimsical, whacky sculptures out of found recycled objects. I was fascinated to say the least. He made a water sculpture that just mesmerized me. I don't need, but must have one of his clocks, which were made from fireworks. My brain just doesn't work that way, but he is a creative genius. I am a bit of an entomologist fanatic and his fly by night series is crazy cool. Shirts, paintings, and hand painted scarves featuring flys. Houseflies. It is something you just have to see. His wife is a painter and uses vibrant colors to capture the mountains. Half the gallery was featuring the work of another artist. I think they are always doing something new. It was by far my favorite gallery in Bisbee.

Linda is running the tasting room now and is a delight. She's knowledgeable, engaging and appreciates pairing wine with the perfect food. They produce quite a variety of high-quality delicious wines and are reasonably priced. The room is cozy and located in such a great little town. There is so much to explore before or after a tasting or a glass of wine. Check it out when in Bisbee. (FYI- Flying Leap is one of the most generous and convenient wine clubs ever!)

The tasting room is part art gallery, part bar, with a relaxed, intimate feel. The staff member was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We had a great chat with one of their wine club members who had stopped by for a tasting. Among the best in Arizona wines, I'm a particular fan of their Mouvedre and Tempranillo, and the petite verdot dessert wine--don't worry, they serve the dessert wine with chocolate.
