TLDR: These guys do great work, go above and beyond with cleanup (see before and after yard photos…read morebelow), communicate throughout the process, and have super reasonable prices. If you've got tree business to be done, make sure you include them in the estimates you get.
When a tropical storm rolled through a month and a half ago, we had a giant branch down in our back yard that needed to be removed. We got quotes from about 4-5 local tree service businesses to remove the branch and then to do some pruning of trees with branches hanging over our roof. The guys at TreeWise were very open about how they were not only pretty backed up, but also may not end up being the cheapest because they are fully insured and don't cut corners. Of all the estimates we received, they were actually the second cheapest.
On the estimate, they took a look around the yard and gave us options for prices according to what we would get done. The first option was just the downed branch removal and pruning from 3 trees, the second option included that plus the removal of another tree in the yard that was partially uprooted, the third option included the first two options plus the removal of a large tree that was tipped toward the house. Of course, had we gone with the third option, they offered a $500 discount, which was great, but we just weren't in a position to have the work done (with all of this, they were again about the 2nd most affordable).
We decided on TreeWise when we received the quote via email, very professionally laid out, along with proof of insurance, which is more than we received from any of the other companies, so we were sold. They didn't give us a date on when the work would be done, since they weren't quite sure, but the downed tree wasn't going anywhere haha. They called a couple days before Thanksgiving and let us know that while they had planned to be there the next day, they would be out on Monday due to the holiday; this was no big deal for us.
The day they came out, there was a little confusion about what the job would include, and I was on my way out so was unable to spend a lot of time reviewing the quote again. The guys finished up in about a half day, and we were so impressed at the level of cleanup they included...not only did they remove the tree, but they also used a leaf blower on our whole yard, which had leaves piled up from the few weeks before (see photos)! Honestly, the aesthetics of the yard without the branch for a very reasonable price made us feel so great about choosing them.
We received a link to pay (they also accept personal check) via email later that evening. However, we noticed that the crew forgot about one of the trees to be pruned. The guys came back a few days later to get the couple branches on that tree without issue. Will definitely use TreeWise when we're ready to get the big tree removed, and I would recommend them to anyone.
