This is the worst outfitter you can possibly use. Out of 20 hunters on the premium peak rut hunt which cost $5000, only two deer were killed and both were undersized by the outfitters standards and resulted in an additional $1500 fine to the hunter. It was very obvious that they did not want you killing the deer they advertise, most of which are taken by the guides. The "guides" drop you a pin on a map and that's it, no site info, no help, no communication whatsoever. They advertise having 40 farms to hunt yet they sent us to the same worn out stands that get hunted every week, they were open about that and the fact that almost everyone last week left mad because they weren't seeing anything. They kept giving excuses like oh we can't control the deer movement or the weather (which was excellent with a fresh cold front that came in opening day) meanwhile everyone we met and in town did nothing but talk about how great the hunting had been. I spent 42 hours in a stand over 4 days and saw about 6 deer, all small bucks or does. The owner, Jack, was arrogant and barley spoke to any of the guests and neither him or a single guide said a word to us on the day we left, not even a thank you or handshake. I could write a novel about everything that went wrong with this trip but I think you get the point. read more

Owners are scammers. They put their friends, guides, and TV hunters in best spots. Or those spots are saved for them based on pics of the biggest bucks on film. Rest of customers are placed in overhunted farms. Was there for gun season 1. Of 28 hunters in camp, 1 hunter killed a legal deer. Most clients complained of not seeing legal deer at all while there. People left early. The weather was solid for the hunt. The farms are below average unless for friends or family. The one buck killed while there was his close friends. Check out pics of past hunts. You will recognize the guides and his friends with all the big bucks. Pay attention to The pics they dont lie. Owner has closed his Google account for reviews. Hes more concerned with getting as much money as possible and not caring about the product hes supposed to provide to the paying customers. Not much MRI provided to hunters while there. 2 bathrooms provided for 28 hunters ? !! read more

This was my second time hunting with 5 Seasons outfitters and I can't say enough good things about Jack, Dylan, and the crew at 5 Seasons! I feel like there are so many outfitters these days, but very few have the properties and the work ethics it takes to hold, grow, and kill big deer on a consistent basis, and the guys at 5 seasons do just that! The properties are phenomenal, the lodging and food is incredible, and the hunting is what you would imagine in the golden triangle of Illinois! The owners not being out to only take their clients money but to provide a positive experience for all hunters. Not to allow their guides to hunt between the days off when next group of hunters are due to arrive. Not to keep the best farms for hunting to themselves, guides, personal friends and family. Be personal and not arrogant. Way to many hunters run through the last remaining farms he still has leases on. Be honest specifically on scoring deer he puts on social media and have INTEGRITY. Well run family operation with nice folks. Hunted dec 4th thru 8th 24. About 15 in camp with plenty of rooms and beds with 2 bathrooms. To go food during day with great home cooking for dinner. Hunted over cut corn or green fields and saw deer every time out. Passed on average 8pt waiting on big one. Several good bucks killed in camp and few more seen but no shot. Guides will take you or drop pin to location which I prefer. I had no problem finding locations. Had a great visit and met some nice folks and plan to return! read more

Lodge has beds for about 20 hunters... but only 2 bathrooms...Food is sub par at best. Ragu sauce is on special. Right, wrong, or indifferent, the ideal client Is either a TV personality or tournament shooter. If you aren't either of them save your money. Plenty of better outfits out there. read more

I've been hunting with 5 seasons for 7 years and I've been fortunate to bring home 5 world class bucks. I can for a fact say that they have some of the best hunting ground in the mid west. If you're looking to hunt the buck of a lifetime this is the place to be! read more
