History

Established in 1970.

I have worked in this shop for 22 years and in 2012 I bought the Business of my Manager. The shop was called Lady & the Scamp, after a complete make over and fresh new look I gave her a new name as well, hence the name 5 Paws Groom came into play. This shop is the oldest operating Grooming shop in the North East. In some families I am grooming the Grand Parents, Parents and Grand Kids dogs, I have seen many changes. I like to say I have grown old here.

Meet the Business Owner: Linda R.

Grooming is my life and my passion, I love it, I live, eat and breathe dog. I started my life with a dog Sam was the family dog and we grew together, babies at the same time. He passed away when I was 14 1/2 and then when I was 15, I got Reggie {Aust Cattle Dog}, we went every where together. 10 years later I got my first show dog Laura {Standard Poodle} and about 4 months after her I got my second show dog Suede {Aust Cattle dog}. I showed them both and got their Australian Champion title, and Laura and I competed in two grooming competitions and she was just the best. Sadly I lost Laura in 2011 at 12 1/2 and Suede in 2012 aged 13 1/2. In 2002 I got my first Dachshund {Miniature Wirehaired} and I have not looked back, I am now owned by 4 of them and I breed and exhibit, they are my life. I spend most of my free time organizing Dog Show/Events.
