July 3, 2014 So I came upon this salon after yelping around the area. I really needed to redye my hair since it has been two months. What I look for in a hair salon is that the stylist get the coloring right and it's affordable. After making calls at different salon, I called 4me and they told me I can come in right away so they can take a look at my hair. I got to the salon at around 1pm and the stylist (and I believed manager as well) warmly welcomed me. She talked to me about my hair and how I want it to look. All I wanted was to color it and she sat me down and we both decided on a color. I actually had a picture on me and showed her and she said she can do it for me without having my hair bleach. After, she washed my hair, did some things to it and then the power decided to go out as she was blow drying my hair. This happened twice, but it didn't really bother me. She was putting the dye in for me and some of the power did come back. Tammy was really sweet. I really like her. She tries to strike a conversation and offers me water. She also offered to waxed my eyebrows and upper lip. I had never waxed before and wow, the experience was different. I was so surprised at the burn but it did feel nice and my eyebrows does look a lot cleaner. My experience here we quite amazing despite the lack of AC due to the blackout, but it was no big deal. My total came put to be $115 with hair treatment and the waxing. Tammy told me that the first time is a lot because she had to color correct my hair and the next time I come back will be a lot cheaper as she input it into the system for me. Definitely coming back :) Also, my hair didn't look much like my reference photo, but I still love the color. Can't wait to come back to color it again.

Maybe it's just me and my string of bad luck when it comes to haircuts, but I received the most horrifying haircut here of all time. Although Yani is a very nice person, I don't know how she even got hired. I had very little layers and it was weighing my hair down. I wanted more layers, so I told Yani that. Maybe it was my fault for assuming that people know how to cut layers because Yani obviously didn't. The tip of my hair is to my belly button. My hair goes from my tip and the next layer up is all the way to my chin. The layers were not gradual at all. It literally looks like she took a bowl to cut the outer portion of my hair and left the back part of my hair long. She didn't even bother layering it to make it blend into my hair. Right now, I look like I have 2 different hairstyles piled on top of each other. I can't even look at myself in the mirror anymore. It is the saddest thing in the world and all of my friends who saw me said that they would have cried if they got the haircut I received. However, I must admit that the interior is very nice and Yani was once again, very nice, but she didn't talk to me through the haircut at all. She didn't reassure me that what she was doing was what I really wanted. I have received a lot of bad haircuts in my time, but this one wins first prize. I can't even... I'm still too shocked at how horrendous my hair is to even use all caps... EDIT: I originally gave this place 1 star because of my first experience here as stated above. However, the manager, Tammy, contacted me after reading my review and scheduled an appointment with me to fix my hair. She is one of the best hairdressers I went to. She was super kind, sweet, and told me everything she was going to do so I knew exactly what was going on. She would ask for my opinion on how she was going to cut it multiple times to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. She ended up fixing my hair and making the layers look more gradual and even. In the end, she refunded my money back and sent me off with a hug. I will change my rating to 5 stars because of the kindness and professionalism Tammy showed. I will definitely go back to her!

Seriously awesome cuts and so efficient! I came for a treatment, cut and blow dry. My hair goes through hell everyday with hair spray, teasing and blow dries so it really was dismal and Julie rejuvenated it! The treatment was swift and I gave her guidelines to my cut and she understood it all and delivered! She did it in just over an hour which is perfect for my busy schedule! Thanks Julie and 4mesalon! I randomly stumbled upon 4 Me Salon in Huntington Beach one Sunday when my usual spot was closed for some occasion. I wasn't expecting much at first--honestly, the storefront pictures made it seem like it might only cater to women--but I decided to give it a shot anyway, and I'm really glad I did. I walked in and met Tammy, who was kind enough to squeeze me in between a couple of her scheduled appointments. Super friendly, and right away you can tell she knows what she's doing. I was genuinely impressed by how much attention she gave to the details of my haircut and really listened to what I wanted with my style. Fast forward to today--this is now my second visit, and I can confidently say this is going to be my new regular spot. But when she is busy, I can trust any of the other hairstylist to work on my hair. Just had my first men's cut with Tammy. She was great. I didn't feel rushed. She asked a lot of good questions. Double-checked how it was looking along the way. The place is in an unassuming location, but very nice and surprisingly spacious on the inside. I would highly recommend her and this spot. read more

I'm very satisfied with my haircut. Had thick long hair which they layered. I'm officially a repeat customer. Their salon is nicely lit to my liking; not too bright! Clean and fairly designed with modern contemporary furnishings. Everyone who works here is nice and friendly. Walk-ins are welcomed! I've been to both locations and both are nice. I've seen the results of my friend's Brazilian Blow out and was never brave enough to spend that kind of $$$ on MY hair. I wanted something wash and wear and finally did it! Why did I wait so long? I had it done a few months ago and just LOVE it. It's been perfect for these hot and humid days. Tammy did an awesome job! Tammy worked wonders on my hair! She was very thorough and detailed and took her time to make sure every strand was colored. She consulted me on the whole bleach and dye process and was incredibly friendly. She took my damaged hair and turned it into something great. The price is totally fair for the whole process and definitely worth it for how meticulous she did my hair. Thanks so much Tammy! read more

After months at home, I was both nervous and excited to come back to the salon yesterday. Although I've been seeing Tammy for a few years, I've never written a review and figured this was the perfect time. For anyone hesitant about making a hair appointment, let me try to reassure you. Tammy has always been great(see all the 5 star reviews and positive comments) but she's exactly who you want to bring your business to during a pandemic. She followed all public health guidelines and it was so nice to see how seriously she is approaching her reopening procedures: temp check at the door, customer needs to wear a mask and use her hand sanitizer. I was the only client in the salon. Tammy wears double masks, face shield and gloves during the entire appointment. As a busy working mom, I always enjoy the break of getting my hair done but this far exceeded my somewhat nervous anticipation of what a pandemic re-opening salon visit would be like. I encourage everyone to make appointments to get their long overdue hair cuts and color--- and support this amazing small business owner! read more

I went in for a cut, color, and eyebrow wax today and I must say I am very impressed. I called in the morning and they were able to see me the same day. Everyone is friendly. Tammy cut and colored my hair, I absolutely love it! They use Aveda color and products, it left my hair soft and shiny. It's also a pull because it's chemical free. It was a plus that they took time to make sure everything was right and I didn't leave unhappy. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I've gotten at least 6 cuts here and always left happy with my cut. The lady there (not sure what her name is) who's station is on the the end of the shop is my preferred stylist for my cut. She has a very warm personality and makes always makes me feel welcome there. The haircut cost me about $12 here. The first time, they gave me a $5 special which was awesome! I would have gladly have paid $20 for the service and experience. They are very professional here and always do a great job on my hair. I highly recommend coming here and try it out for yourself. I am gladly reviewing my amazing haircut done by Tammy at the fountain valley location. Wow, she did an exceptional job- she was kind, social, positive, and gave me a wonderful haircut all while being very open about what she could do to enhance my hair in the process. A year later and I still am coming to this salon. I moved almost 60 miles away and still make the drive every month because I trust Tammy. My hair is really long and so it was really hard work for her to do it, but she didn't get lazy at all and she kept at it the whole time! It took really long and she was really careful with my hair.
