This specialist tobacconist is famous for its enormous stuffed mascot, Bruno the Bear, who is…read morethought to be more than 200 years old. He has been in this shop since the end of the 19th Century, and once stood outside - although today (in his old age!) he's retired inside, and stands dominating the window display instead.
I believe the shop has changed hands over the years, but it still retains that old-fashioned charm and I think it is the only specialist shop of this kind in Wales. It stocks an impressive array of cigars and tobacco products, many of which are imported from all over the globe. There's loose and packet pipe tobacco, hand-rolling tobacco, pipes and pipe sundries (including Dunhill, Peterson, Falcon, Parker, and other big names), cigars, lighters, and old-fashioned cigarette cases.
Apart from all the smoking paraphernalia, however, they also sell a range of products mainly aimed at gentlemen - some of which could make nice gifts for older generations, including shaving brushes, razors and cut-throats, hip flasks and pocket watches.
