Thanks to Daniele I got it done and her materials were better then what was there. Oh, and I have a fairly large roof yet her crew got it done in 2 days from start to finish with a through cleanup.

They told me there was recent hail damage in my area and asked if I wanted to get a new roof. They asked if they could go on the roof to inspect. I agreed and they found 2 areas with damage and said I was eligible for a new roof. They told me to contact my homeowner's insurance to file a claim. Their salesperson Layne Anderson asked me to sign paperwork so he would be allowed to talk to the insurance company on my behalf. I told him I am not signing any contracts and he said it was not. It just allowed him to speak on my behalf if there were any questions about the damage. Well, he LIED. After filing the claim, his company said I signed the contract and I must use them. Their price plan is they do your roof for whatever the insurance company writes the check for. They will not give you a price per square which all honest roof companies do. Their goal is to trick you into signing with them knowing the insurance will pay over $650 per square. Honest companies will charge between $500-$550 per square. I told them I prefer to go with a honest company and they told me to read the fine print that I had 3 days to cancel a contract they told me wasn't one. I did not hear back from the insurance company until after the 3 days. They told me I had to pay them $2500 or 25% of the insurance check. The "manager" on the phone asked me if I could read and write English when I questioned him. Professionals??? They even accused me of committing insurance fraud. I guess this is one of their tactics. After arguing back & forth, a female got on the phone and told me that they don't consider the paper I signed as a contract. I asked her to repeat what she just said. She did and they quickly got her off the phone. I heard them say Layne in the background; I think I was on speaker. I asked Layne to get on the phone to admit he lied. He would not get on the phone. After they threatened to sue me and argued more, they said they would take $1500 to cancel. I do not believe I should pay them anything. They did nothing but solicit and trick me to get a new roof. They did not purchase any materials whatsoever. The resolution I am seeking is for them to leave me alone and try to scam someone else. No one should trust this company and the BBB should give them a "F" rating.

Investing so much money was anxiety inducing, particularly after reading horror stories about botched jobs and unscrupulous roofers, but I was determined to make a well-informed decision. I spent two months studying roofs, learning about types of materials and construction, reading articles and blogs, and making phone calls--lots of phone calls. I called an engineer. I called the county building department. I called friends. And I called about a dozen roofing companies in the Orlando area (I could probably write an essay about the nonsense I heard from some of these companies). I listened carefully and researched their responses. I read reviews and I read every line in the contracts sent to me by about half of them. I was relentless because this was my kid I was protecting. Happily, my diligence paid off and my daughter now has a quality roof and sparkling new gutters. Robert Bonesteel at Sheegog Contracting was the project manager I worked with. He spent MONTHS speaking with me. I can honestly say that no one has ever worked harder for my business. Through it all, Robert was extremely kind and never once made me feel that my questions were stupid. He explained things clearly and sometimes took over an hour to clarify something. He never pressured me and encouraged me to read and investigate other companies, which I absolutely did.  Sheegog didn't just slap on a roof. They used GAF Timberline HDZ premium shingles. They repaired decking under the leak and addressed other minor issues. The work site was spotless when they left, but Robert wasn't satisfied. He came out with a magnetic detector and scoured the area for stray nails. He answered my questions and pointed out repairs. He sent a wind mitigation expert. I'm immensely grateful for Robert's kindness and his company's excellent work. Several of my neighbors are interested in having their roofs redone by Sheegog.  To Robert and the team at Sheegog: thank you. You guys rock!

I noticed an issue with the roof and contacted them on September 1st to get it looked at. It has been two weeks now, and no one has showed up or followed through to check on the problem. The roof work itself was fine, but do not expect reliable customer service if an issue pops up later. I contacted Sheegog September 1st and several calls to them sense and have only had good service from Kathy in their office. Ray a project manager (i believe was his title) contacted me last week and promptly informed me that it is a issue.

That promise gave us confidence that we were making a long-term investment with a company that stood behind its work. Five years later, we contacted Janney Roofing to schedule an inspection, only to be told they no longer provide that service because the salesperson who made that commitment no longer works for the company. Instead, they said they would only come out if the roof needed a full replacement. To me, a company should stand behind the promises made by its representatives, regardless of whether that employee is still there. Customers purchase based on the information they're given, and it's disappointing to hear, years later, that those commitments no longer matter. The roof itself has performed well, but customer service after the sale has been a major letdown. If ongoing inspections are important to you, get every promise in writing before signing a contract. Based on my experience, verbal commitments may not be honored.

Ricky came out the day after I called even after Hurricane Ian and tried to help us out as much as possible. They're super reliable, and knowledgeable. We had a new roof done from another roofing company two weeks before the hurricane and even with the new roof, there were major water damages to our interior walls and ceilings. Our roof company refused to cover for the damages since they don't cover hurricane damages under their warranty. And this is after they failed inspection. I had heard how many of the roof companies have lawyers available to fight insurance companies so that they can charge more money so that a homeowner can recoup a portion of their deductible. That sounded like fraud to me. OCR sized up my project gave me a competitive price with a 10 year warranty on their work and the manufacturer offered a 50 year limited warranty if the roof was installed according to their specifications which it was. The crew came went right to work and with in a day and a half the roof was on and I was very satisfied. I would strongly recommend this company if you need a roof replacement or repair.

It puddles for days. That makes me nervous, to say the least, and when the roof started to leak a little over the garage, I looked into building in a little slope, using a foam block process to do same (pricey!), redoing the roof conventionally, doing a rubber membrane roof as if it were a commercial property, or sealing it with a product like silicone, or foam, to make it a monolithic structure. After a lot of research on the net, and calling a couple of manufacturers, I went with silicone: this way, I don't have to worry about the roof for another 10-20 years. Sky Light Roofing is the company in our area that has done the additional training to apply this product- and I went with them. (Although he does conventional roofs too). It's a pressure washing/cleaning, priming, and applying process that takes care do make sure it's done exactly right. When the process was done, Juan had kept my renter totally satisfied, cleaned up every day, was knowledgeable, polite, and honored the date he said he'd show up(rain prevents them from applying this, so we had only one delay). His company is simply top notch. I give out few five stars, but, honestly, unless he did this roof for free, I can't think of any way he could improve!
