The staff and doctors are extremely caring at this vet. The prices are reasonable and the clinic is very clean. 10/10!

I was looking to have my poor Veiled Chameleon euthanized as he was quickly deteriorating. His regular bet is all the way in Lisle and I couldn't make it there. I was quickly answered back to call as soon as they opened. They were able to get me in an hour and 15 minutes in after they opened. They were SLAMMED. Time stopped when the compassionate vet was in the room with me. She was so kind when my heart was breaking. My poor little chameleon :( I'm not even one of their clients and she still gave me appropriate time and respect. I was shocked when I received this BEAUTIFUL card and another one with The Rainbow Bridge poem on it. They didn't have to do that. I am so grateful for what they did for me that day. People need to understand that they have to discuss finances with you before they do anything. Before you get upset and leave a bad review for a business, remember it's still a business. There are certain protocols that need to be followed. Don't be damaging because you're feeling emotional. That's wrong.

My dog, just had fallen literally 10min before I got there, his paw was bleeding, he was crying & trembling.. she didn't seem compassionate at all, she doesn't have a personality that she should work in this type of environment. I didn't get her name, since the first thing she said to me was "well you didn't make an appointment" with a horrible attitude. As she sees my dogs paw wrapped with towels covered in blood.

Such a difficult review to post. My beloved dog, Hank(16)…read morestarted suffering. We reached out to laps of love as soon as they opened for day. The young lady that answered the phone, was so very Kind, compassionate& sweet. She helped answer our many questions. We were able to have an at home appointment within a few hours of our call for help. The vet that arrived was just as tender, kind & compassionate as the receptionist. She made a paw print of our Hank. Talked us through the process. We were able to have our other dogs present. Our lil pug, snuggled Hank. She knew. After.. They brought our sweet Hank to the crematorium. Hank was hand delivered back to us the next morning. They showed our sweet baby the Respect & love he deserved all while comforting us. This is a service I truly hope You dont ever need. However if you find your family in this situation, they will Help. Quickly & with tenderness.

My neighbor has no remaining family and she inherited the dog when her live-in only child (daughter) and son-in-law passed within a few years of each other. Angel had been my neighbor's faithful companion for many years, but recently was not eating, had rapid breathing, and lost control of her bowel and bladder. Although her mood wasn't severely affected at the onset, she quickly resorted to only drinking water and hiding in a closet. My neighbor was at a loss and asked me to handle the process of easing Angel's suffering. I called on Saturday, and Lap of Love assigned Dr. Jennie to the case, who arrived on Sunday. Again, this was on a weekend that most people don't work. Dr. Jennie arrived on time and with more compassion than I have ever witnessed, both for Angel and her owner. She examined Angel and discussed quality of life, both for Angel and her owner, and confirmed with Angel's owner that this is what she wanted. Dr. Jennie gently administered the pain medication and waited patiently for it to take affect, and then administered the euthanasia. It was naturally devastating for my neighbor and although I had only known her and Angel for about 9 months I felt the typical longing for the impossible; that Angel could have recovered, that she and her owner could live forever and never have to miss each other. But this is never the case, and Dr. Jennie gave Angel MANY treats (Angel had one last round of insatiable treat-appetite), made the plaster imprint of her paw, placed some hair clippings in a small memorial container, and directed the sanitary removal of Angel's body. The NEXT MORNING (Memorial Day) the crematorium Lap of Love contracts delivered Angel's cremains in a box. The gentleman (Ethan) who delivered the cremains was also compassionate and kind. Although home euthanasia can be an expensive process, I cannot think of a more compassionate way to grant peace to a pet and its owner. The animal is at home in its natural surroundings where it is most comfortable. They remain with their owner until they are transported. Having witnessed this process for the first time with Lap of Love, if I ever have to say goodbye to a pet (although I don't own any now) there is no other way I would go. Dr. Jennie and those in her profession are truly amazing people; to witness the suffering and loss of others and remain positive and supportive throughout a career of undertaking this process over and over is a skill set possessed by few. I hold her in the same regard as I would any nurse, physician, or therapist. And just to clarify, I wasn't asked to write this review or compensated for it. I intended to leave it on the Lap of Love website but couldn't find a place to submit it, so I posted here.

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.
