We held our wedding at The View Event Center, which is a site owned and managed by Simply Decor &…read moreEvents. The location is gorgeous, and was just right for our wedding. When we arrived, the chairs were uncovered and the tablecloths had deep creases in them. Be aware that the basic package doesn't include the chair covers (even if you were told it does!) and includes their least-expensive tablecloths. Despite this, the manager on site the day of our event very kindly put covers on the chairs and swapped the tablecloths out. We had no problems with the venue or the staff until the manager left. Once she was no longer present, the staff began clearing tables, not just of trash from dinner, but also by throwing away wedding favors, florals, and other decor we had out. Many of our guests began leaving because they thought the event was over, even though it still had 2 1/2 hours to go. We ended up leaving early, ourselves, because we had no guests left! We also pre-paid for some wine vouchers for our cash bar. The bartender requested that we hand out the vouchers, so we put a friend in charge of them. At the end of the night, we still had 20 vouchers left. The bartender charged our guests full price for glasses of wine if they didn't have a voucher; this was after asking us to hand out the vouchers rather than keep them at the bar for free use by the guests. We feel double-charged for those drinks, and were offered no means of making this right, since it isn't the bartender's job to keep track of the vouchers that were pre-paid for. We frustratingly overpaid by $100 for wine that the bartender can now re-sell at another time. Overall, the management is phenomenal, and our experience was a good one. The venue is beautiful, and I'd highly recommend a walkthrough for anyone interested. Just some suggestions: make sure everything you're promised is written out to the letter on the invoice, don't have an evening event here, where the manager might be clocking out partway through, and go with a strictly cash or strictly open bar, DO NOT buy the vouchers, because they're not afraid to double-dip for the drinks that are already covered by those.

Loved that they are a married couple, their story, and the beautiful work they had posted. All my correspondence with Desiree before the big day left me at ease, and excited! Friday (day before the wedding) we went out for our Connection casual pictures, and had a blast. Was a perfect time to get used to cameras, and get to know Desiree & Seth. The next morning I get a text from sweet Desiree, and she sent us a surprise sampling of our pictures! While I was already excited for our pictures, this has left me thrilled to see all the other things they have done!! On the big day Desiree stayed with me, and Seth with my husband for pictures - nice arrangement! Desiree was a total professional - respectful of my family, and would laugh and participate in jokes. We then went and walked around town in our wedding garb for pictures. Again - such fun! They had also saved some spots for pictures just for the big day. I can't say enough good things about these two, they are not only great photographers, but real people who are fun to be around :) THANK YOU Desiree & Seth!!

They traveled from New Mexico to Southern California to shoot our wedding and made it very well worth it. It has been over a year since we got married and I still go through photos and our video in complete awe. They captured everything, and tell a beautiful story through their photos. On the day of our wedding, anything that went wrong or needed fixing, they were right there to make things stressfree... from hair pins to sewing kits, Desiree had it all in hand, while she and Seth still captured every moment and detail. Talk about above and beyond!!! Seth and Desiree dont just do a good job, they genuinely care about each person they work with and it shows! Thank you will never be enough, but I will say it over amd over again. Noelle and Adam Jackson

My husband and I live in California, and recently got married in Albuquerque, New Mexico (my home…read moretown). I was planning this wedding not only in 6 months but also long-distance, so finding a photographer was a little tricky considering I couldn't meet with anyone face to face. I spoke to several photographers/companies over the phone that didn't seem to fit, before I spoke with Will and he was extremely knowledgeable and kind. An easy choice from the rest. When it came to scheduling, Will was easy to communicate with and very quick to get back to me promptly. He was open to specific shots that I wanted done (first look, sunset, etc) and was very knowledgeable about how we should go about scheduling them. On my wedding day I was a ball of nerves. Will was very calm and easy-going; he was able to set my mind at ease and provided clear direction while he took pictures. Will did an amazing job shooting our wedding! The pictures, our album, and our video were perfect! - More beautiful than we had imagined they could be. You can tell how passionate he is about capturing special moments, his true artistry, moments, most of which you didn't even know happened. If you hire Will, expect more than a handful of great shots. Expect to be overwhelmed with many beautiful choices. My husband and I were to pick 60-80 shots for our album, which seemed impossible because Will had so many great shots (definitely more than 80); it was extremely difficult to narrow it down but he worked with us so we could have a little more in our album. After our wedding, my only regret is that my husband and I didn't get a chance to have our engagement photos done with him. I would absolutely recommend him! If you don't hire Will you'd be doing yourself a disservice.

Unprofessional. Poor communication. Late. Extra surprise charges. Unprepared…read more Really disappointed with service throughout planning, and also day of event. We should've respected the red flags: very slow, then incomplete email replies (we had to call/text to get someone to please reply to email-we needed info from them in writing, as event was at a commercial site. In addition, we wouldn't have needed to email/text if the website had essential, basic info!). Day of event: team of two showed up almost 45 minutes late. When they did show up, they did not have long enough/extra extension cord nor water hose (for wet/dry combo). THIS was one of the questions we emailed beforehand to avoid THIS! We had to scramble to find an extra hose and someone drove ten miles home and tn mile back to bring an extra extension cord. Incidently, our email question was, "What are ALL the site requirements necessary?" Their response: "We bring everything we need." Yeah. Except the two most critical items?!? Why does this feel like they've never done this before? Could this really be the first time they needed a longer extension cord? Really?!? It actually gets worse. They inform us that they didn't bring the pool part. What!?! So they have to drive back to get it. Start time was supposed to be 9:00. Actual start: 11:20! When I tell one of the guys, Tommy, that I'm disappointed- no apology, no eye contact. Instead he plays it like he doesn't know why I could possibly be disappointed. Then he tells me that there's a $25 service fee. What!?! NOWHERE AND NEVER was this advertised nor discussed. He said he didn't know how far it was until today. So this sounds like this isn't so much a service charge, but a distance charge. And if that's the case, shouldn't this be on the website-somewhere? Or, doesn't this seem like something a respectable business should inform a customer about upon finding out the location? Even pizza delvery places tell you how many miles they cover. Plus, not only did I tell him our location two weeks prior during our first call, we texted/emailed them the exact address the week before the event. When I asked him for an itemized invoice, he asked derisively if we wanted him to 'pack it up and leave.' What a terribly unprofessional and shady response. We had a classroom full of preschoolers in their swimsuits and sunscreen anxiously waiting for this and this is how he responds? He brought it down from $25 to $8. Thanks? Kinda an odd 'discount'... I SOOOO wanted to say, "Yes. Pack it up and leave. Go." But, the children had been looking forward to this... The children... We only had the event from 9-2, and they can't get it up until over 2-1/2 HOURS LATE, AND they charge a non-advertised 'service fee' in light of all this?!? Malas ondas...
