Cute little specialty foods market in downtown Park Rapids. Right next door to Bella Caffe and has the same owners. Very friendly staff and very welcoming. They have a lot of different specialty food items such as tea, oils, snacks, and healthy additives like flax seed, etc. There were tables to sit at and more seating around the back corner, but I didn't take a look at the food/drinks/snacks that were available on our visit. We had just eaten next door at Bella Caffe, so we weren't looking for any more food at the time. I've heard the food is recommended and is very good, so I'll check that out next time, this time was just shopping. read more

Great staff (starting with the owner!), fresh food (skip the fried stuff offered at all the other places in town), and great pies (fresher and MUCH more tasty than Betty's on the north shore!). We received a warm welcome when stopping in for a late lunch in downtown Park Rapids. While the menu isn't huge, the offerings are fresh, healthy and a great alternative to others in the area. No fries, no chicken wings and (almost) zero cholesterol if that's what you'd prefer (see photos). I tried to get out without enjoying a piece of pie (I had the Oregon berries) and almost did it. Unfortunately, I tried a forkful and ended up finishing it before leaving the restaurant. I dare you to try to go it better. Anyway, 3rd Street was a welcomed breath of fresh air that we'll visit again whenever we're even close to Park Rapids. Give it a try! read more

While I was visiting my grandfather for three days, I got to experience several different restaurants in the Park Rapids area. The 3rd Street Market was by far the most pleasant, and delicious, restaurant of them all. For a drink I had hot tea, which they often refilled an actual small teapot of hot water that sat on my table. I split an avocado wrap with my sister (only because we wanted soup and dessert as well). The avocado wrap was extremely well put together-- easy to hold, stuffed as much as they could, and the combination of food inside was obviously thought out because the taste was very enjoyable. The soup of the day was a white bean soup-- and usually I am not a soup person--but again, it was well worth the money. Cooked hot, with the vegetables tender-- once again I could tell careful thought was put into the combination of ingredients. Lastly, I had heard such good things about their pie that I treated myself to dessert. I had their berry pie with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and whipped cream on top. Let's just say that I was extremely disappointed that I tried this restaurant on the last day of my visit. I would have given them my service every day if I had known the food was that great. Service was extremely nice and attentive as well, and the restaurant area was secluded and spread out to give customers a comfortable atmosphere. I ate with 6 people--and not one person would have changed anything about their order. That's the sign of a restaurant doing something right, in my opinion. read more

Our family has been stopping up at this place for years. First, they have great cream pies with an amazing granola crust. Get yourself a piece and be ready not to share. This last time I had the avocado wrap. It was loaded up quite nicely with fresh ingredients. I wish I would have had them throw in some banana peppers though to give it a bit more of a kick. read more

This is an awesome place! I live 1 1/2 hours away and make the trip as often as I can! Friendly place, great atmosphere, excellent food choices! A nice quiet place to relax and unwind! I've been going to 3rd Street since I was a little girl and the food is always fresh and delicious. The wild rice and beer cheese soup are favorites, the make-your-own sandwiches never disappoint, and the pie and cheesecake are absolutely amazing (the caramel butter pecan pie and cheesecake with fruit compote are the best in my book, but the others are quite delicious as well). The market area also has a nice selection of health food and supplements too. While I don't live in Park Rapids anymore, it is always a must-visit every time I'm in the area. read more
