HUGE facility, great prices, the best martial arts coaches, fantastic Judo classes for kids and decent facility. The coaches and owners are what make the spirit of Revolution. This is not a roid monkey MMA gym, it is welcoming to women and children.... my daughter would do anything for Judo Scott... her coach, and I love the kickboxing. My daughter can go to as many as 6 classes of marital arts a week for $59 a month! They have a nice food service spot in the gym, but it is Terri's protein cookies that make me dream of hot oatmeal heavenly biscuits.... mmmmmm cookies....

A convenient location spot for a badminton centre…read more Although they have plenty of courts, they are frequently booked up so be sure to call in advance to grab a spot. Lots of parking and close to transit. There's not much space between the courts and the lines for the courts by the walls are tight such that you might scratch your racket so if you are reserving over the phone, be sure to ask for the middle courts, when possible to maximize your experience. The floor is smooth; no issues with the flooring. Overall, still a good spot to go if you're looking to play badminton with a group of people. Lots of picnic tables for your gear and to rest. Very group friendly.

The interior is quite large, and surprisingly doesn't echo too badly. Must be because of the mats they use in the courts. It makes the game a lot more comfortable than playing on bare concrete. The website advertises it as a "floating floor system". This is worth a special mention as it does take some of the strain off your legs. The staff are VERY anal about keeping this floor in top shape (must've been expensive to buy and install), so there is a "non-marking sole" rule that is quite tightly enforced. They actually check your shoes before letting you in the playing area. And there is a $100 fine if you play with the wrong shoes and mark up the floor. They mean business. Some of my friends complained that the ambient temperature was too cold (I would say it was 10-15C), but I actually found it quite pleasant. Sure it's cold when you first come in, but it also ensures that you don't cook after a couple of intense rounds. There are also plenty of tables, chairs, and benches for you to leave your gear while you play. There are also security cameras throughout the building and parking lot so hopefully your car won't get broken into. One last thing: the girl working here speaks somewhat crappy English, so hopefully you have a Taiwanese friend with you. Not sure if it was the same person when I called in a few days ago, but there was quite a disconnect between the questions I asked about the facility and the answers I received. One of the better places to play baddy for sure. Recommended.

Yeah, some of the cardio machines have button problems, but i'd rather deal with that then be forced into a stuffy area like Club 16, or be bombarded and harassed by Steve Nash Club (which Steve Nash doesnt even want association to). Daud was so accomodating, so kind and I always see him interact personally with his clients. This gym inspires me to be fit. Another bonus, the workers know the machines. I don't know how many times I've been to other gyms and when i ask how to use a machine the workers say "i dont know".

Most sessions are effectively supervised by two or three volunteer high school students who spend much of their time chatting among themselves while the children are left to play on their own. The head coach is often disengaged, frequently using a cellphone or eating during practice rather than actively coaching and providing instruction. There is very little structured teaching, skill development, or meaningful feedback for the players. As a result, the sessions often feel more like unorganized free play than a basketball training program. Honestly, parents would receive more value by simply taking their children to a local playground or community court. At least there, expectations would match the experience. Unfortunately, this program does not deliver the level of coaching, supervision, or player development that it promises.

My child has been enrolled in the Drive Basketball camps and league for the past year. The camps…read moretaught the kids basketball dynamics, skills, plays, and fouls. Initially, the league also appeared promising with weekly practices and games. However, the children received little direction or coaching during games. Many instructors, who also served as referees and scorekeepers, appeared disinterested, often seen on their cell phones. Nevertheless, a few were dedicated and coached the kids well, fostering their success, learning, and enjoyment. Encouraged by my child's new friendships, I decided to continue with the league. Unfortunately, this past season saw a price hike and a decline in the quality of instruction and game officiating despite complaints from parents. Some of the good instructors were no longer present at the games. Though there were still a couple of dedicated instructors, most refereeing was subpar. The officiating was inconsistent and poor, largely because many instructors were teenagers lacking the necessary skills and attention span. Practices involved more running than actual skill development. The older instructors, mostly in their twenties with post-graduate basketball experience, were the better coaches and genuinely cared about the children's growth. However, they seemed underutilized, likely due to cost considerations. Overall, I am very disappointed with Drive Basketball. While it may have started as a good training academy, its growth has compromised its ability to employ passionate and skilled instructors. My child would only continue for the friendships made, but we need to look elsewhere for skill development. I would NOT recommend Drive Basketball if you want your child's skills to develop and for them to truly learn the game.
