As history tells it, Uncle Nearest, was the first African-American master distiller on record in the United States. He was also the first head stiller, now commonly referred to as master distiller, for Jack Daniel Distillery. Pretty cool stuff. Also, it was kind of cool that they were jamming to Cumbia-style Christmas songs. While this shop is a bit out of the way, I'll gladly make this one of my go-to stops for my liquor and wine needs.
