Getting started with Irish was easy and they were a reasonable price, not the lowest or highest. If…read morewe didn't have skylights I don't think their work would have leaked causing severe damage and we would not have noticed they substituted off brand materials. Irish didn't use all Certain-Teed materials as quoted and required by the manufacturer's warranty we paid for. With the complete roof installation, Irish quoted and installed custom flashing for our skylights. This leaked less than 10 days after install of a completely new roof in a home that passed a home inspection less than a year prior with zero history of water damage. They attempted to cover the leak by adding caulk and overall didn't resolve the issue or cover damages. We had to remove much of our dining room ceiling, decorative wood trim, and insulation. Irish offered ($2,400) which was less than 50% of damages and wanted us to pay them that same amount of money for materials to redo the work according to them the way they should have done it originally. We would have had to sign a NDA to receive this small amount of money. We chose to pay another company to redo Irish's work they way it should have originally been done. These repair costs were in addition to damages. During this process we found the underlayment installed by Irish was not branded Certain-Teed as quoted and required by the warranty we paid Irish for, it was substituted for Tri-Shield without permission. If you use Irish don't let them near skylights and check all materials to ensure it matches your sales agreement.

I had him install some siding on the house before painting, at which most of it was done poorly, and he charged me for 56 hours of work when it took him 25 hours max. After we got passed that he was trying to increase the bid on his paint job to $5500, and then wanted more money towards the job before he even started. He said one of our lights was a fire hazard, which frankly scared us, then said his guys could fix it (for a price!). Then he said the spray-on foam insulation in the basement would be practically free because we would get $850 in rebates from our gas and electric company. We did the smart thing and got another quote. THAT guy said most of those things didn't need to be done, our light was NOT a fire hazard and was completely up to code, and that the rebates from the utility companies would be $175. His quote was about a thousand less than VerWys's. When we called the VerWys guy again to see what he'd say, he backpedalled so hard he was going lightyears in reverse! Knocked off 2 grand from the initial quote, but we'd heard enough. Not gonna do business with a guy who tries to take us for a ride by pulling numbers out of his @$$.
