Many of the businesses in Southern Pines welcome dogs; however, it's not often I find a dog friendly bookshop. It was nice to walk through the shop with my dog and he liked all the extra attention. I quickly found the book I was looking for, unfortunately it was quite pricy. I'm usually fine paying more for things if sold by a local bookshop, but this was more than I planned to spend. Overall, a good place to check out while in Southern Pines.

Micheals Marvels is a huge comic book / gaming store in Sanford North Carolina. The owner of the…read morestore is super friendly and very eager to help you find whatever it is you're looking for. At any given time of the day there are people in there gaming and having a great time with a family atmosphere. Micheals Marvels also has retro arcade-style games and a Grabber machine for a touch of nostalgia. I could spend hours in there looking around and still not see everything.
