I got recommendations for several electrical contractors for running the wiring for new mini-splits, installing a cove heater, and a few other things. 218 Electric was not the cheapest, but they were the one I went with and I am happy with my choice. Nate really knew what he was talking about when looking at our project and explained why some of the things that other electricians proposed would not work (I checked and he was correct) and he included some things that code requires that were not in the other quotes. There was no up-selling or padding, just a fair price for a quality job.
They came out when scheduled, which doesn't always happen. They had to come back because I changed some things on my project and stupidly did not notify them, so they needed a larger gauge wire. If it were me, I would have been mad, but they were very nice about it.
Dawson Hoffman was the lead on the project and he was fabulous. He was super nice and obviously knew exactly what he was doing. I kept adding things to my project, like wanting surge protectors, and he was again very nice about that.
I will definitely use them for future projects and am hoping to get them back to install a EV charger in the very near future. read more
