We had just one night in Angers and picked Hotel 21 Foch because it was within an easy walk from the train station. What a lucky choice!
The hotel is absolutely lovely: clean and modern, with interesting artistic touches throughout. Thomas met us at the door, showed us to our room, and left us with some dinner recommendations. In the morning, he was a quiet yet welcoming host and waiter at breakfast. (Note that breakfast--which was simple and delicious--is not included in the room fee.)
The room itself had plenty of space and was immaculate. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was sparkling. Our only trouble was that we weren't smart enough to get the AC working, so I'd suggest getting specific instructions for that.
From the hotel, it's about a block to get into the charming old area of town, and there are lots of dining choices right outside. If we ever have reason to visit Angers again, we'd jump at the chance to stay at 21 Foch. read more
