While the Fortitude Valley and Petrie Terrace stores have a great designer frames showing attitude so sadly does owner. I recently purchased a glasses costing me $1350.00 in total which included an eye examination. The lenses in my eyewear was impressive to look at as well. Very thin and very stylish, but sadly also very distorted with not a straight line to be seen when reading. When I raised this with the owner, Kevin, he stated without even looking at the glasses, "I will not replace the lenses, I will only give you a refund". He then took my glasses and began to bend the frames. The frames were designed to be absolutely straight. I was then sent on my way. Sadly even the bent frames did not fix the issue and so I returned hoping that the owner would at least look at the lenses for I did not want a refund, I wanted these amazing glasses. What happened next was not at all pleasent. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. How an Optometrist will send a person out with a faulty prescription or fitting (I do not know what the problem actually was) and not give a damn is not professional behavior. Fitting progressive lenses may present a challenge to Optometrist's but that is what they have been trained to do. Only on my very first fitting years ago did I have an issue with the lenses were fitted upside down in the frame by another Optometrist. Naturally the lenses were replaced on that occasion. Since that time I have not had an issue with the fitting of progressive lenses until now. Sadly 20/20 does not take any pride in there work, well certainly not in my case anyway. read more
