So, I had to renew my BLS, and since I've been coming here now for my last two certifications i…read morethought my experience would be excellent as always. Not the case...I was singled out and embarrassed!! I was told I'm too weak to administer compressions, told my acrylic nails were in the way, and made to place my mannequin on the floor and work on it down there. I have never had problems here, in fact last time I came I breezed through and finished my test second and passed. That class was also full to capacity. The instructor was so kind and thorough and made sure everyone was all on the same page. Her name was Brittany, But yesterday, no Brittany. It was a woman named Michelle. She told me she has been teaching this class for 35 years. She was definitely on a power ego trip as she told me several times throughout the class she would not pass me. She was beyond kind and attentive to the only other two male EMTs that were there. She kept saying how we should be out by 8:30pm, when class was supposed to be until 9:30pm, she rushed through and skipped over video segments. When we were all done with our practical part, she said it was test time and stated that we would also be given a review to fill out rating her class. She said depending on the review, it would affect her job status!! Good review she stays employed, bad she loses job. After she handed me the review paper she softened up towards me. After the other two EMTs were finished with their tests and had left (yes they were finished first, no surprise because she stressed me out) As I was finishing my test and concentrating, she kept talking to me and making comments about random things. While I'm testing!! Long story short, I drove out of my way to come here. A 38 minute drive. I will now find a new location in two years when mine expires. Yes I passed, but it was the most humiliating experience. Three stars because she did change attitude towards the end and the other two EMTs were helping me and being supportive throughout.

Great school. Great instructors. Positive environment. If you pass the class you'll pass the NREMTread more

It took me only one attempt to pass my behind the wheel exam at the dmv with only 4 small mistakes. Manny (along with the rest of the instructors), are trained professionals that will insure that you or your kid will be ready for the dmv test and all you have to do is listen to them and be on your A game. Thank you so much to the Santa Fe driving and Traffic School team, best wishes to all who attend this amazing driving school.

**Please Read*** I wish someone would have told me all this when I took lessons here…read more I'm only giving this review 3 stars for a specific reason. Manny and the office staff were FANTASTIC--super nice, and they made me (as a driver in training) feel comfortable. Now, I didn't get to experience how nice they were until my last lesson, though. On my first lesson, instructor Tess made me weary of driving. I got my permit in July 2016, but my family didn't have the money for lessons. In early 2017, I finally came across the money to purchase lessons through Santa Fe. Now, mind you, I was cheesy but i knew it was illegal for me to drive without my permit signed by my instructor, so my first experience driving was with Tess. After arriving 15 minutes late, she ran through hand motions, lane changing, turning, and 3-point turns (in theory) so quickly it could've made my head spin. After that, she took me to the residential area near the Hanford Baseball Complex. And Hanford West. It was after school hours and during baseball season, so there was some traffic from students and parents of all sorts. Every time I'd do something wrong--like turn the wheel with my hands in the wrong position--she'd shout at me, and then try to reconcile by saying something along the lines of "I'm just trying to help... remember: 'Tess is the best!'" It got to the point where I almost cried. And this was BEFORE she tried to teach me how to back up on the curb by having me face forward, COVER my eyes, and have me back up. Then, she had me drive her to a nearby Starbucks so she could use the restroom, and yelled at me AGAIN when I didn't know how to park perfectly. By the end of the lesson, I was pretty shaken up. My next lesson was in May 2017 with Joyce. Because of my experience with Tess, I was weary about driving, so I hadn't practiced too much. When it was time for my lesson with Joyce, she was also 15 minutes late. We were supposed to meet at Lemoore Park. When she called me asking where I was I told her I was at the park waiting, and she responded with "Well I'm in the spot where I ALWAYS pick up students!" As if I should have known. After walking around the corner to her, she chided me for wearing Birkenstocks to drive... FYI it was MAY and already 90 degrees outside. Whatever, I didn't know. She was more tolerable than Tess, but was shocked when I needed a refresher course on things like the SMOG-technique of switching lanes and arm motions. Afterwards, I kept her form yelling at me by keeping conversation as I drove, and that might've saved my sanity. My last lesson was with Manny in November 2017. Since May, I had practiced a lot. Honestly, though, I was DREADING my last lesson. I was very nearly traumatized by the last two instructors, and it made me nervous to even think about taking another driving lesson. Nonetheless, Manny was HANDS DOWN the best instructor out of the 3. He was kind, didn't yell at me for not knowing answers, and he made me feel like my questions were valid. He also didn't make me feel inferior, unlike Tess and Joyce. In all reality, he made my review go from a 1 to 3 star. I'm so glad I ended my driving lessons on such a good note. If you plan on taking lessons through Santa Fe, save yourself the hassle and ASK FOR MANNY!
