My SUV's temperature gauge started acting wonky and I messaged Butch to see if he could help. He…read moreput me in touch with his service manager, Kolby, and they told me to bring in my vehicle. They gave me a great loaner car and worked with my car warranty company to replace the radiator quickly and at a very reasonable price. Nyah is great in the office and quite efficient, while Ezra is super friendly and awesome at detailing the cars, and little Dino is the perfect mascot. I couldn't be more pleased with their terrific service and world class customer service. We will definitely be back!

My friend and I brought a young lady (Devanie) to Fairly Reliable Bob's to purchase her first car…read morebecause I had heard great things about the business (and let's face it, with a name like that you have to have something going for you to have been in business since 1975). We were greeted by a man named Butch Petersen, who I treated like I do all salesmen - as someone who stood between me and my goal (the perfect car for Devanie). It very quickly became apparent we were dealing with someone who was not your average car salesman, so on a hunch I asked if he was somehow related to my longtime friend Grant Peterson, who I got to know when I was involved with the local Better Business Bureau Board in 1991. (Grant is owner of the Bronco Motors group of car dealerships - the only place I've bought my cars since 2008 because of the honesty and integrity with which Grant operates his dealerships.) Butch's answer changed everything. Turns out Butch's father and Grant's father started Fairly Reliable Bob's together, not primarily as a money making business, but to be able to serve the local community. That is still their mission today. Fairly Reliable Bob's operate with a laser focus on serving their community with excellence and integrity, and everything else takes care of itself. And Butch Peterson was the owner and general manager of Fairly Reliable Bob's - a man who walks the talk. Long story very short, Butch found the *perfect* car for Devanie, answering all her questions to make *her* feel confident as well. He explained some of the many benefits of purchasing a car at Fairly Reliable Bob's, including a repair shop that is run as a not-for-profit company so all parts are charged at cost, hourly rates are less than half of other repair shops, and loaner cars are always free. Butch sent a trailer at his expense to pick up Devanie's trade in (which would not start), gave Devanie a fair deal on the new car, and arranged an unheard of interest rate for someone with no credit by working with a local bank **and having Fairly Reliable Bob's cosign the loan** for her. There are far too many things that astounded me about character and integrity of this business to go into here. If you'd like, connect with me and I'd be happy to buy you coffee or lunch and tell you more about them. Or just give them a try. I'm confident you'll be as blown away as I was. When I called to discuss their oil change, I was told there were all sorts of bells & whistles…read moreinvolved. Turned out that was untrue after receiving an oil change. My car nearly died today because it turns out that they never checked nor changed the filters! I know this because I saw how awful they were when the Valvoline mechanic pulled them out. There's no way they were checked because they were so full that lifting them scrapped crud off like scraping the toppings off of a hamburger. Besides that, they told me I needed to get my transmission flushed. When I scheduled the service, they raised the price despite me telling the service agent that I had a quota. The lady excused it saying it had expired. This made me go into detective mode. So I called a professional transmission company and not only were they cheaper, they informed me that my transmission shouldn't be flushed; instead a whole different procedure because there's a transmission filter involved. I called the service agent back and she proceeded to tell me that the competitor wasn't experienced enough while Peterson was "advanced." I've called other professionals in transmissions services & checked online and they all agreed my car should not be flushed. Besides for that, when I had my water tank and timing belt changed, I was told that my fluids were topped off. Turned out to be untrue when I checked my oil myself as I filled up my gas tank. To say I'm disappointed that my hard earned money as a single mom was wasted and that I nearly lost my car due to the lack of competence, is an understatement. I'm completely mindblown that any of this has occurred and write this review to prevent further harm to anyone else.

Just want to say thank you to Morgan and the team at Bronco Motors. I now drive around in my beautiful car so happy and having fun! Morgan was chill. He helped me get answers when he didn't have them. He has followed up after my purchase several times just checking in to see if I'm loving it. Answer, YES! Would I come back? YES. I was in and out within 3 hours. I came prepared. I did my research. I knew what I wanted and they did not try to hold me hostage with unreasonable counteroffers. It was a fair deal done well. I must say this was the easiest least stressful vehicle purchase of my life. Do your legwork. Be reasonable. Get your car. It's that simple. Thank you Morgan.

As I told the salesman that was marketing me after my repair experience, "The thing that would keep…read moreme from buying a new Hyundai in the Boise area is the fact that I may have to rely on your service department." Hyundai hybrid. The hybrid battery had slowly been going bad for over a year, but I could never deliver it with the codes still lit for accurate diagnostics (so they said). Finally, the hybrid system error escalated beyond check engine/kill engine-restart process. Took it in for diagnostic and they confirmed what was obvious. Approved by Hyundai for warranty hybrid battery replacement. Battery ordered. Once it hit warranty repair status, we clearly went to the bottom of the barrel, both in terms of communication and followup. Trying to get information became excruciating. They wanted to hold onto the vehicle for (what ended up being) weeks even though it would have caused us hardship while they ordered and received the battery. We kept it the car. Once in their shop after a few weeks waiting, a 2-hour service took days... Drop off Sunday. Call Monday afternoon. Hasn't gotten to it, need another day. Contact Tuesday afternoon. No response. Wednesday afternoon, no response. We borrowed a vehicle for my wife's daily commute, and they were getting impatient. Thursday, I got involved by both texting the CSR and calling another CSR... I wanted an answer! Oh, the service person has been out sick the last couple of days. I can tell he started on your vehicle at it was apart. Friday, "service" rep went on vacation. No one knew what the status was. Monday.... now they tried to make their money. They said the regular battery needed to be replaced and it was going to be more than $350. No actual cost provided. NOPE! Never had a problem with the regular battery. Never had it die or send a low voltage battery light. So I came in to pick it up. It was still apart and they wondered why I didn't want them to hold onto the vehicle to replace the car battery. I'M DONE WITH YOU! I left, and realized when I got home they kept the twist lock for my car battery casing. Ugh. Ordered the battery through Les Schwab. Came in, had it installed in 20 minutes, and I went home. Unless absolutely necessary, Bronco Motors service center won't touch my vehicle again. The work eventually was done, so, 2 stars.
