I needed a new light for my dining room. I'm on a mission to replace all my 30-year-old lighting with LED, and I've come to be fond of Modern Forms. I found a gorgeous Modern Forms linear light that is perfect for the room, and went on my usual online search for the best price. The best price (by far) was at 1StopLighting. This company is new to me, and further research revealed positive experiences from Trustpilot.com and others. Another boon was that the light was "guaranteed" to arrive in 3 days. 3 days! Nice! The light did not arrive in 3 days, so I had to reschedule installation. When we opened the light, there was a dent with scratches on the edge of the light. The light was packaged in styrofoam, which seemed undisturbed, so I think the light must have been damaged before it was boxed up and shipped. While I was originally able to call customer service and discuss the delivery of my light, 1StopLighting has now stopped manning their phone. When I called to discuss replacement options, I was directed to their chat. I haven't been able to find a way to choose to talk to a person since. However, I did get Johanna on the chat to help me with a replacement. Johanna is wonderful. She understood the problem and what to do. When we were disconnected because the chat timed out, she called me on my mobile to explain the process and reassure me that delivery of a replacement and a return label were on their way. I was a bit skeptical because there was no real way to track what was happening, but I had Johanna's name and phone #. Several weeks later, after returning the damaged light, I still did not have my replacement, nor a tracking #. This time, contacting someone was much more difficult. I did manage to engage in an email exchange with someone who provided me with a tracking number. The light had never been picked up according to the delivery company and tracking information. Neither the freight company nor 1StopLighting chat knew where my package was. With probably too much effort on my part, I did get Johanna on the chat once again, and she called me. She got the process moving. My light arrived in 2 days! Thank goodness for Johanna. 1StopLighting has a very large selection of nice lighting at great prices. I appreciate their return policy, which they honored without question. Clearly, however, I ran into several snags. I recommend to 1StopLighting that they make available once again the ability for a customer to call a customer service representative. Some situations cannot practically be dealt with via chat. Johanna is the star of my story. Because Johanna was so responsive, I will likely visit 1StopLighting again. read more

Terrible experience. 1StopLighting would not honor the pricing on their website after I placed an order. I was first told via email that the item was discontinued, which I confirmed with the manufacturer that was not the case. The manufacturer even requested that I forward the email I received from 1StopLighting. I then received an email that I cancelled the order, which I did not. I decided to call to place an order and was told that there were 10 in stock, then I got placed on an indefinite hold while I was being transferred to customer service. After 20 minutes of waiting I gave up, never spoke to a soul at customer service. 1. I was able to place an order online with a heavy discount 2. 1StopLighting lied about the status of the product being discontinued and my request to cancel the order 3. Confirmed via their own internal sales team that the item was in stock 10x over Avoid 1StopLighting, any discounted pricing you might receive is not worth the headache you will undoubtedly encounter. read more

Jhonjon was very helpful in answering my delivery question and finding the supporting documentation. He advised me of the delivery date and process. His customer service was excellent. The issue is with the processing and communication of the delivery date through 1StopLighting online account management. My online account noted it was "processing", but when I texted with Jhonjon, he discovered that it was scheduled to be delivered the next day. It was a large, heavy item and I needed to prep the space. Luckily, I happen to call the day prior to delivery. The delivery company was supposed to call 30 minutes prior to delivery, but they did not. The delivery person was alone - ie, had to carry/cart a very large item and my husband had to help get it into the door. 1StopLighting had a great price on the item, got the item to me in a reasonable time. Jhonjon was very helpful and pleasant to deal with- it was just the process of tracking the item and the actual delivery fell short of expectations. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. This is not a business -- it's a bait-and-switch machine. I tried to buy a chandelier because their listed price was lower than Amazon. The second I hit checkout, the price jumped $170. Instantly. No warning. No explanation. Just a shady little "surprise." So I called. Instead of owning their mistake, they had the audacity to ask me to send a screenshot of their own website. Apparently they don't know their own pricing -- even when I gave them the exact item number. That's either staggering incompetence or deliberate deception. Pick your poison. I sent the screenshot anyway. Then came the excuses. "We didn't receive it." "System error." More vague, recycled nonsense. Suddenly the item was "not available" -- even though the website clearly said, "in stock." And, magically, the price had now jumped another $250. Amazing how that works. At one point they just stopped engaging altogether. This company wastes your time, plays games with pricing, and treats customers like idiots. Whether it's incompetence or intentional manipulation doesn't even matter -- the result is the same. Unprofessional. Dishonest. Embarrassing. Avoid at all costs. read more

Put in an order on 2/3/2026 and was told via the customer service chat on their webpage that I would receive my order in 3 business days. 2 business days have gone by and I have not received any update emails, and the order page still says "processing", so it definitely doesn't look like I'll be receiving my items by tomorrow as planned, and will have to push back my project a full week as a result. Their customer service is unavailable after 3pm pacific time which is bizarre since they are based in California. It would be simple for them implement more customer service oriented business practices and avoid these situations entirely. More communication is needed, especially when their website heavily markets their 3 day delivery as a key selling point for going with them over one of their competitors. It's sad to see businesses operate in this manner - over promising, under communicating, and under delivering. If my order magically shows up tomorrow, I'll edit my review, but for now, I'll have to just be honest and tell people to spend their money elsewhere. read more

Accidentally ordered a wrong remote to replace for my ceiling fan and they wouldn't let me return or exchange it for the right remote. Waste of $63. Also, on the packing slip, they put Fanimations phone number, not theirs. When you actually call their number, it's a robot and they make you do everything without actually talking to someone. Customer Service is very lacking. I ordered beautiful credenza on sale (nonreturnable). 1Stop contracted with R&L Carriers. I was not notified that this furniture would not be delivered to my door. R&L gave less than 24 hours notice of delivery. After the item was delivered (I was at work) I received a photo of where R&L left the furniture in the parking lot at the apartment building. And then it rained. R&L does not deliver to the door. 1Stop said "some carriers will deliver to the door and some will not....we just don't know." They must know what service they are paying for. I pointed out that it had been left, unsecured, in a parking lot, in the rain. 1Stop said nonrefundable, I signed agreement (what)....basically, 1Stop has no intention of being supportive in any way. I paid random strangers $200 to bring it in from the rain and still do not know about water damage! Unacceptable. I battled with customer service to have them open a case. Then the case manager sent me a message that the case was resolved for my lighting purchase, even called me by the wrong name. Unacceptable. Truly terrible experience. I will add that 1Stop's chosen carrier, R&L Carriers in Gallipolis Ferry, WV is not listed with the Better Business Bureau or on YELP. Sorry, that I cannot inform others to avoid them. read more

This message is for the superior work that Ann has done for the past month & a half in finally getting me the (2) replacement pieces of glass I needed to complete the hanging of my daughter's 10 light chandelier. Terrible. I ordered 3 outdoor garage lights and only received one. Then I tried to call them but there is no phone number to call - only "chat" on their website. Then I had to talk to a "bot" until a real person came on. Then he didn't seem to believe me. I told him the tracking photo clearly showed that only one light was delivered at my front door and the shipment weight indicated that only light was shipped (the weight of the shipment was the same as the weight of one light). STILL, they only offered to "file a claim" to investigate it further. I've still not heard back from them. read more
