The other station is now Conoco Phillips about 5 away. Both have a Starbucks pretty close to them. Although the other one also on Alameda is a few steps away from one. This wins over the other by way of the proximity to more food options since it's Union exit is just a straight drive to options! And the biggie? Sometimes it's cheaper by a few cents!

I only needed to fill from less than a quarter tank, but I didn't realize the pump had failed to automatically shut off. Gasoline overflowed and spilled all over the ground because the auto-stop mechanism didn't work. When I notified the employees that the pump had malfunctioned, their response was basically, oh well, sorry. As they didn't offer any reimbursement when I asked or take responsibility for the fuel I lost due to their faulty equipment. They simply put an "Out of Order" sign on the pump, sprinkled absorbent material over the spilled gas, and sent me on my way to absorb the cost myself. Gas and now a car wash to rid the gas smell is too costly for that! A business should stand behind its equipment and take responsibility when its pumps malfunction. Instead, I was left paying for gasoline that ended up on the ground because of their defective pump. Based on this experience, I would not recommend buying gas here. If the equipment isn't properly maintained and management won't take responsibility when it fails, I would take your business elsewhere.

He was training a new employee when i approached the counter. He rang me up. My total was $5.42, a slight raise in price from what i was expecting but i suppose that is just the way of the world. My item used to be under 5 dollars. I gave him my 5 dollar bill and whatever else jingled in my pocket that came to be 27 cents. I was short about 15 cents... to my astonishment he looks at me and says not enough. Obviously i thought he was kidding. He looks back at the total and says its 42 cents not 27. Baffled he would treat such a loyal regular customer in such a way, I proceeded to inform him of my regularity in his establoshment and the years of business ive been giving him and could i please borrow 20 cents? No, he heartlessly replied. I then turned to and asked his trainee and shockingly, he refused to let us even exchange words!! I said "Dude are you kidding me? You get paid the exact same whether you let me slide or not, youre just getting a kick out of telling me no!" He said "I'd be taking a 20 cent loss." I told him "Youre gonna be losing much much more than that, youve just lost a long time customer!" There was however, a 7 Eleven just a few blocks away, its just as old and crappy as this one but maybe the staff will be a little less naziesque in conducting business than this doucher is! I went in, 15 cents short... absolutely ZERO problem! I dont even think the clerk noticed or even gave a shit. Because 15 doesnt matter, nor has it ever mattered in any other case other than my failed transaction with "the owner" and ultimate asshole of the Simms 7 Eleven! Consider this my 'check-in' at what is, in all honesty, probably my favorite 7-Eleven franchise in Denver. A couple days ago, I stopped into the Sloan's Lake store, craving a Slurpee (as is my wont), and was surprised by a flavor I'd never tried before: Barq's Old-Fashioned Root Beer. Although I've recently gone against character and forbidden myself to drink soda, I had to try this new (to me) concoction. And I've never been so happy that I re-negged on a deal I made with myself. This flavor is awesome! I'm not even a root beer fan, and this was easily as good as the Pepsi flavor, maybe even my former favorite, the Coke Slurpee. As long as t his store keeps offering this treat, it looks like I'll have a hard time keeping my promise to myself. She yells out in front of other customers that I'm not supposed to be use it all and I should stop charging my phone. I wanted to know what the problem was-- they said a policy is what the reason behind it is. I asked for the policy. THERE WAS NO POLICY. I then ask for an manager, says a manager can speak to me tomorrow @ 6am. 5 minutes later, her and a manager talk to shit about me, not realizing I was still in the store. So, this tells me you were thinking I was naive and you thought you could get rid of me. I cut them off from their immature remarks and ask for a policy. Manager was more decent than Donnell (She wasn't wearing a name tag and said that was her name.) Donnell, the cashier, grabs a note and writes down a rushed corporate number. I will be calling, I will be saying that this experience was horrible. There should be a sign saying I couldn't use that outlet. Every other place lets me an outlet TF!! Donnell's excuse: "They take down the sign every time." Manager suggests I go to 7/11. For what? You guys missed out on a 5 star review because you couldn't sacrifice 5 minutes of your outlet.
