Considering it's covid season, and the condition that my stylist had to work under, I'd say I got an excellent cut. It was a bit windy while we were outside. So, I was a bit worried that it might affect my haircut. However, my hair came out beautifully. The stylist took her time in cutting my hair and made sure everything came out evenly. Also, the best part was that she was wearing a legit N95 mask which made me really happy. That was the main thing I was worried about when I decided to take a gamble and go for a cut. Any kind of mask is great and all. But, when you wear an N95, you mean business. So, if you're looking to have a cut, don't hesitate to go here. My hair was feeling a little dry from all the sun exposure I was putting it through, and I called this morning to see if I could get a haircut before a wedding I was attending tomorrow. Jin Hee picked up and squeezed me in for an afternoon appointment the same day which was so lucky. The store is located in a little strip mall area with shared parking. I was given a nice wash with a good head massage, and she gave me a long layered cut. She applied a serum and blow dried my hair with her attendant, and used a straightening brush to add a bit more shine and curl at the end. However, both times I came in, she ended up cutting off much more than I was looking for. It'll grow back, but I was not looking for it to be so short. (seemed like more than 1 inch, as I had asked just for a trim). She seemed not to listen to my sayiing I wanted to keep the length. The service was lot faster than I had expected and her skills were far greater than my expectations. Because most places when I ask them to cut my hair (as shown on my photo I had attached), they'll usually take up to 30~40 minutes and charge me well over $30 + tip... However, Jin Hee literally took about 10 minutes cutting my hair with 5 minutes of wash/dry; and the best part, it didn't cost me $30+ for men's haircut! I desperately needed a haircut and after reading these reviews I decided to give it a go. Easy to find, free strip mall parking, plus safe covid preventative measures (including temperature taking and contact tracing) made it a breeze. At 12 noon on a Tuesday I was the only customer so I was spoiled! It was my first shampoo since covid (yay, no more turning up with wet pre washed hair) and it was soooo good with a little scalp and neck massage included. The shampooist was very friendly and chatty and was the perfect foil for the hairdresser who was quietly cutting my hair. My asymmetric bob was a dry tangled mess when I arrived, but I left with a sleek shiny level layered one that I could style on either side. My thin fine hair was nicely stacked at the back with a razor cut followed by scissoring which created volume. I really appreciate the hairdresser checking with me about length, layers and my preferences before cutting, which hasn't been the case with previous hairdressers I've visited. The blow dry with fingers only really created a lot of volume at my roots too. I paid $35 and tips in cash. I don't remember when she uses scissors cuz most of time she uses razor! Her cutting (shaving) was too rough to control length evenly. She finished her job include making layers within 10min.
