I have to say that my one and only driving lesson experience with 1st Class Driving was just about as bad as you could get because it didn't even begin. My first lesson was due to be between 6-8pm. I was on the phone at work until 6pm and didn't get out of the building until 6:03pm. Just as I was the instructor was driving away. There's two key skills that a driving instructor must have in order to be successful and good at their job:
Patience
Understanding
I can't believe that the instructor would drive away 3 minutes after a start time. Not only is it unacceptable behaviour but it's also downright unprofessional. Not only that, he didn't bother trying to call me or come in to reception to ask for me.
Then, it took him 3 days to call me even though I left you two answering machine messages with my number and he didn't apologise at all and rudely asked if I still wanted lessons. When I questioned him about leaving after just 3 minutes he said it said 5 minutes past on my clock and I go by my clock. What a complete joke. I don't care if it's 3 minutes past or 10 minutes past he should have had some patience as it was a 2 hour lesson!
Ultimately I'm delighted that he didn't wait for me because I would no doubt have wasted a load of money being taught by a poor instructor. read more
